EDIT: Uh, sorry. I had too many tabs open and accidentally commented on the wrong forum. Guess that's the sign it's time for bed.

This seems like a good game, but I am having a difficult time trying to find Phillippe Mercier, "President Magic Touch Productions".

http://copysoft.com/

I suppose I could try contacting ACT. :P

EDIT: I guess the only game worth bringing was under WizardWorks - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WizardWorks_Software - which went under GT Interactive Software and then Atari. So maybe Atari would have the rights.

I wonder if GOG could strike up a seperate deal with http://sunstormgames.com/ to re-release the Duke 3D expansions for free. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunstorm_Interactive

It'd be nice to get those officially released here.

Well its not in the 'De Minimis Assets' list that Tommo bought so if Atari did have it they must have sold/given it to someone else...

If Epic Games ever figures out what's it's doing (they developed the Epic Classics brand and then left it?), maybe we could see some of these games show up. I don't know the last time an Epic game was released, here, though.
I could use people's opinions if they see this.

Described as a sci-fi roguelike RPG

Is it worth trying to make contact with Ron Heuse? I'm under the assumption of NO, but I figured I'd ask those who are actually roguelike RPG fans.
I'm kinda surprised Myst III and Myst IV haven't been listed here yet. They weren't made by Cyan Worlds, which is why they're not here currently, but we already have Presto (III) here with the Journeyman Project games, and Ubisoft (IV) here with Rayman, BG&E, and many other games. Surely someone at GOG, Night Dive or elsewhere could work out some sort of agreement?

Talking about Prince of Persia, perhaps this post will lightened us who's the real owner of POP rights:
http://jordanmechner.com/prince-of-persia/
Really shock me that we don't have them already, after reading previous link, probably too much work for GOG staff use Apple II source game code or perhaps due to Iphone/Ipad version exist some restrictions? I don't know.

I dunno. This issue rests in GOG's hands, though; I can't contact everyone for them, lol, especially considering Turnipslayerr and a few others are browsing this thread.

That 'ipod / iphone' version 'Prince of Persia Classic' was also released on XBLA and Playstation Network - No PC version :-(

"Overall, a fun and original adventure marred by illogical pixel-hunting puzzles and cliche writing. If you like B-movies, give this one a try. If you're looking for a thoughtful, serious adventure, look elsewhere."

Perhaps we could see this on GOG, too, if Wordplay LLC has the publishing rights too. On the other hand, it may not be a great game.
Wait, have these games
http://www.gog.com/games##devpub=meridian4
Always been Meridian4 or has that changed recently? We have Meridian4 here? I thought they were all about teh st33ms, or something...?

*edit* Shadowgrounds is still showing as 'Frozenbyte' over on Steam, who I'm pretty sure were the publishers here until recently - have Meridian4 bought them?

*edit again* Trine on here is still Frozenbyte - hmmm...

I played this a very long time ago and though it's not the greatest, it's fun enough. It looks its age and there is the typical_of_the_era pixel-hunting, but the puzzles are not as bad as Home of the Underdogs make it sound, they're mostly pretty good though you get the frustrating timed type too.
It does have a B-movie feeling to it, but the good one that comes with enjoyable satirical humor.

For anyone interested, here's a review from and one from [url=http://www.allgame.com/game.php?id=12054&tab=review]AllGame.
I actually got a message back from the Squeenix CEO, Phil Rogers! Generic response, but cool to hear back.

"Hi Tyler,

Thanks for your email, you’re right that’s not something I deal with directly but I have sent it on to the right person here in the company to look at. Not sure I’ll be able to offer you a direct answer, but thank you for taking the time to send in your thoughts.

Best regards,
Phil"

Well that was nice! I hope that they are able to do something regarding other games.

Some time ago, I sent Véronique Salmeron an inquiry about Eternam, Drakkhen, and Call of Cthulhu: Shadow of the Comet, and I finally heard back that those ended up with Infogrames, and she sent me some contact info, which I'd since passed on to GOG. Lately, I've been sending more queries to publishers of newer games like Hellraid, and assorted indie games that catch my fancy to consider bringing their stuff to GOG. I'll slowly go back over my older posts and try asking all the people who never replied via different avenues.

Ace! Good work on that, hope it bears fruit.

I'd really like to pick Project Nomads back up, will have to comb through the posts and see where I left it. And I know the negotiations are probably happening (if they haven't already) on Armikrog. If that makes it here, would be ideal to have The Neverhood on board as well.
