Rage of Mages 1&2 and Evil Islands: Curse of the Lost Soul owned by Nival Interactive. Who already have games on GOG. So it should be possible right?
Just heard back from Mev Dinc of Vivid Image fame, and he does in fact hold the rights to the whole Vivid Image catalogue. The only DOS game in there is First Samurai, but it's the best as well and an absolute classic. Other titles would be viable if GOG eventually went the Amiga emulation route.

I've made the offer to bring his contact information to GOG if he is interested, so we'll see what he says. I would dearly love to have First Samurai here.

here's something about Warlords series
Just heard from Mev Dinc and he is indeed interested in bringing his Vivid Image titles to GOG. I've sent his info on, so it's in the hands of the GOGlords now.

Cheers mate, I hope they go for it. I need to resume some other threads now that that's in progress. I should follow up on Daemonsgate and Millennium, and may pick up the trail on Pushover.
Wow, it's amazing that a thread like this exists. Can't believe how active people can be in these matters! I get frustrated that a lot of these games are simply held up on legal rights, and people too stubborn of unaware that they can do something about it which will benefit the consumers and themselves. You guys helping to make them realize is amazing :)

Keep it up, and hopefully no classic will be left shelved, in time!

It's all good. Much of my work on this has halted because real life is starting to take back over, so just do what you can when you have time. :)

I did hear back from Mike Austin regarding http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Level_9_Computing games.

"Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll give it some thought!

Kind Regards,

Mike Austin
Hello@TriggeredMessaging.com"
Pinged Nigel Kershaw about Daemonsgate again, but no reply as yet. He admitted that he doesn't know much about it, so may not get any further with him. And as he was very nice to me about my initial request, I won't pester him further if there is no additional reply.
As I just said on my own thread

I've just been mining you list for more entries for mine
Thanks for all your hard work over here guys!

RaggieRags: Thanks. GOG should start paying you soon. :-P

tfishell: Lol, I certainly didn't intend to ask for money (this is kind of exciting and addictive, in a way), but I'd take some to at least show my parents all this time spent on the computer is actually meaningful. ;-)

Continuing the list of games from publishers already here on GOG:

Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes - The Case of Serrated Scalpel, from EA
Lost Mind of Dr. Brain, from Sierra (I guess this one isn't DOS; compatibility might be tough)
Lost Vikings, from Interplay (although Blizzard produced it, so they might have taken back the rights. Somebody said ............Blackthorne was in a similar situation)
Lurking Horror, from Infocom (telling you, GOG, create some special Infocom text adventure bundles; just figure ............out how people can search for specific titles in the search box. Do it for DCT. ;)
Machiavelli the Prince, from MicroProse (assuming the rights are still with Hasbro or Infogrames/Atari) (somebody ............mentioned this is a very good managerial/trading game, I believe)
Manhunter 1&2 - New York, from Sierra (dat color, dem pixels, *sees screenshots* F-ck me that's weird.)
Mega Lo Mania, from Ubisoft (like Populous?)
Micro Machines, from Codemasters

Thoughts on these titles?
______________
Sorry to bump this from page 2 but I'm working my way through the whole thing again! Two things:

Mega-lo-Mania - Why is Ubisoft mentioned for this one? I'm getting (Image Works/Mirrorsoft - Acclaim - Playdom/Disney) Also Its Sensible Software, IIRC they kept a lot of their own rights and ended up selling them to Virgin when Drug & Sex & Rock & Roll (the game they were trying to make) bankrupted them! Maybe someone could ask John Hare about old Sensible rights?

*edit* reading more, Throwback got a load of old Acclaim rights so it might have gone there via that route, Codemasters have Sensible's Cannon Fodder, originally published by Virgin here, unclear what other Sensible rights they have

Micro Machines its easy to forget that this was based on a line of extra miniature car toys by a company that is now part of Hasbro so there might be licensing issues there
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micro_Machines

Mechwarrior / Commander that whole franchise was licensed from a FASA tabletop hobby gaming board game so has the same licensing issues Games Workshop property licensees, for example, might have!

SCPM: I've sent some messages to contacts from his Facebook who look like they may have his contact info. Hopefully they'll get back in touch.

tfishell: That was smart thinking, and more likely to lead somewhere than Eyefinity.

More Abandonia games from big publishers already here (more opinions on them needed):

Nectaris, from Sunflowers Interactive/Ubisoft
Nectari - if you look at the series page on Mobygames : http://www.mobygames.com/game-group/nectarismilitary-madness-series
it looks like Sunflowers were just doing the EU publishing for Hudsonsoft who are now part of Konami
*edit* reading on, this was covered at the time, sorry, still the mobygames links adds a little more illustration, I guess...

tfishell: More old games GOG could theoretically bring through their current publishers:

Offensive, from Ocean of America, Inc./Ocean Software (Infogrames/Atari)
Oils Well, from Sierra
Omega, from ORIGIN Systems/EA
One Must Fall 2097, from Epic Games (freeware, but a great game it seems;
.....adding to my freeware list to give to GOG)
Oregon Trail, from MECC, published by Brøderbund/The Learning Company/Gameloft
.....(perhaps rights now with Ubisoft?)
OverKill - The Six Planet Mega-Blast, from Epic Games
Pacific General, from SSi/Ubisoft
Panzer General, from SSi/Ubisoft
Paperboy 1 & 2, from Mindscape (perhaps EA or Ubisoft?) (1988 graphics, though)
Pawn, The; from Magnetic Scrolls (Microprose, then Hasbro or Ubisoft? I dunno)
Peppers Adventures in Time, from Sierra
Phantasie III - The Wrath of Nikademus, from SSi (dat CGA)
Well Paperboy was the home version of an Atari arcade game and while Paperboy 2 was never in the arcades, it was developed by Tengen, which was part of Atari
The American, arcade incarnation of Atari's right would have ended up with Midway and liquidated when they went down

Kristian: That is less than obvious: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_Interactive

NOLF 2.

Edit:

So in other words, the NOLF and NOLF 2 rights may well be with Activision.
Weirdly, 'Fox Interactive' is still listed as the current publisher of Aliens Vs Predator Classic 2000 on Steam

tfishell: Paperboy 1&2, from Mindscape
----- ("associated" with EA, possibly Ubisoft?)
Peppers Adventures in Time, from Mindscape
----- (Pepper + Willy Beamish bundle for 5.99?)
Peter Pan - A Story Painting Adventure, from EA
----- (kiddy, but looks imaginative)(Peter Pan is a public domain character, right?)
Phantasie III - The Wrath of Nikademus, from SSI
----- (Phantasie bundle?)(CGA-only)
Pizza Tycoon, from Microprose
----- ("associated" with EA, possibly Ubisoft?)
Planetfall, from Infocom
----- (Infocom bundle)(remember the extras! lots included here)
Planets Edge, from New World Computing
Pool of Radiance, from SSI
----- (D&D liscense needed)
Prince of Persia 1&2, from Broderbund
----- (perhaps they're with Ubisoft?)
Prisoner of Ice, from Infogrames
Planetfall is actually on GOG as part of the Zork Anthology
http://www.gog.com/game/the_zork_anthology
Which is pretty random!
It has a sequel called Stationfall that's missing though
