Could we please get some more SHMUPS on GOG please?

As a big shoot'em'up fan, it makes me sad you could count on your hands the number of games in the genre on GOG.

Recently companies like Degica and Nyu Media have been making a drive to get more of them available on the PC in the west, but the only example of that push that we have on GOG is the excellent Crimzon Clover. I know that both Degica and Nyu Media would be more then happy to make these available on GOG, so I'm not sure why GOG isn't keen - you guys allowed "Raiden Legacy" onto the platform, which is an rather poor emulation job of some classic games, while the incredibly highly regarded Mushihime-Sama is not here, so I assume it's not entirely predicated on quality.

If any fellow fans want to upvote some of the shmups on the wishlist, the following are just awaiting the OK from gog to make it onto the platform:

Yep, it's intensely frustrating that GOG is turning away companies who are trying to get their games published, with extras, DRM-free because they're not popular enough. Such a sad turn from how this site started, catering to a niche and championing underdogs.

I really, really hope they have a change of heart and allow Degica and Nyu Media to release their shmups on GOG after all. I understand the need for curation, but those are all outstanding, professional games from companies who are trying to actively court the DRM-free crowd, and "it's not popular enough to be on our site" is such a crock.

Edit: And unlike the Raiden Legacy port, these are actually well done ports and not just mobile MAME in a terrible wrapper with bad settings.

I would like to see a few more airplane sims and race car games :(

As would I, although sim companies tend to be very fond of DRM. In the case of shmups, multiple companies have approached GOG to distribute their games and GOG turned them away.

Are you insinuating EA games is into DRM just because they tried to charge players for gas? :P
