It could have had a real life from the start if they'd made a proper OS for it.

Edit: Just realized that could sound like I have a problem with Android. Far from it. It's just that the Ouya was supposed to be so open and easy to mess around with. It isn't. The software it comes with sucks, although the hardware seems extremely impressive.

On the software side, yes. I'm still very impressed with the hardware quality.

Well, yes. It's very small for a console, which is only logical, given that it has no optical drive, and is based on the same type of electronics that are used for smartphones. It's no power house, but then it doesn't need to be. The controllers are sturdy and well designed. They are laid out like an XBox controller (unfortunately, I prefer the PS layout, but you can't have everything) and have a touchpad top-center like the PS4 controller. They are powered by two AA batteries, one in each "handle", the top covers of which are magnetically seated for easy removal.
So the Ouya is headed to China to prove that you don't have to be one of....The Big Three...to truly reach the international market.

... it's basically a generic Android thing.

China will have 10 million clone versions sold at every street corner by the end of the month.

I see a big market in ouya shell popstations.
So that's another billion people that won't buy it.
I'd play Second Life on the Ouya.
Let it die. I got mine as part of backing the KS and i havent opened it since it arrived.

Chinese economy should be hitting the wall at some point from reports ive heard...

What's an OUYA??? A terrible disease?? This is a PC gaming site, I don't give 2 (you know what's) about a console that doesn't have a chance in H*** to come close to being anything but a complete waste of $100+
