This list isn't to automatically chastise GOG for some of these games not being here, as I know some GOG wants here.

(*indie or indie-esque/adjacent :p I've mentally associated some of these titles with "indie" even when they have a publisher but will remove them if somebody actually cares.)

How are we accounting for games with multiple wishlist entries? For example, Agony as of checking just now has somewhere between 1,077 to 1,339 combined votes (there is a confusing entry currently at 262 votes which seems to be for a different game but which many may have mistaken for the "controversial" Agony that got rejected...myself included).

The list above is just me going down the list starting from "most voted ever" -
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#order=votes_total ; I'm not doing "combined votes" above

If I'm trying to encourage a release when talking to a dev or pub, I'll often talk about combined votes, which might be a little misleading as users can of course vote for multiple wishes of the same game, but it helps simplify things in a conversation.

yeah the 262 wish is apparently talking about a "1991 Amiga game".

Yukon trail.
Planetary Annihilation: They don't give any shits about their customers or DRM-free. I was unfortunate enough to have believed them during their Kickstarter before they decided to go to all "screw people over".

Planet Coaster: Last I checked, this had, if not always-online, regular phone-home... From the developers who, at the 11th hour, released their prior title (Elite) as an always-online game when it had been promised as DRM-free.

Dwarf Fortress: Isn't this freeware?

Some of these I know are available DRM-free on itch, such as Celeste. I'd prefer they do co me to GOG though.

Some of these, I'm baffled why they're not here (Rimworld, Axiom Verge).

Some, the devs probably (mistakenly) thing their long-tail is exhausted and "everyone has already played it", ignoring there are never-Steam-users (Binding, Ikaruga)

There's a version coming to Steam, iirc it'll be a paid-for (but greatly improved visually) version. Looking at the Steam page I guess it's not technically indie but it "feels" indie ;)

mqstout: ...
Celeste and Axiom were given away for free on the EGS iirc, so maybe GOG is waiting for a period of time to pass before releasing here. Rimworld devs don't want to bother with GOG I don't think.

Not seeing NOLF on that list is depressing. Though NOLF has been given away for free on a certain website forever with no copyright complaints, so whatever.

Well NOLF isn't indie or what I'd consider "indie-adjacent"; I assume you're talking about "The most-voted games not yet on GOG."

*sigh* Oh Unknown Worlds.
Your Epic version of Subnautica is so DRM-free that the current up-to-date version is probably readily available on a myriad of pirate sites.alongside the pirated Steam versions. Why not make some more dough and sell legitimate versions on GOG? Why leave an avenue of profit untapped like that? You're not going to convince pirates to buy your game anywhere, but you will miss out on profit by denying honest gamers an avenue here on GOG.

Show GOG some love, UW. Sell us your soul ... I mean game, sell us your game.

Yeah, totally skimmed over "indie" in the title, whoops. I wondered why the list was all newer stuff haha. I guess Knights of the Chalice or Zeno Clash for me then.

I'd love to see some of the best indie Adventure Game Studios games hosted here too. It would be a neat addition.

np. it's of course super easy to see the most-voted games, thanks to the wishlist sorting options - https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games#order=votes_total
The Quest is off the list. that's nice :)
Rimworld too now of course
