Wow, thats a long time. No wonder its been collecting dust in my cart for nearly that long. Doesn't make sense they'd have sales on Steam during that time but not promote it in the same way here on GOG. Its the one main thing I was looking forward to purchasing in this Xmas sale but now gotta wonder if I should just get it on Steam for $25 before the new DLC is released next year and the price goes up for the new definitive edition if GOG never puts it on sale before then,

I finally bought Cyberpunk 2077 + DLC, looking forward for new GPU release to finally play it, although I am very dissapointed, that original pre-order bonus was DRMed. :(

Which pre-order bonus do you mean? The car for pre-ordering Phantom Liberty?
You can purchase that one later on during the DLC I believe, I'd have to reinstall the game on my PS5 to check up on that though.

AFAIK there's no pre-order bonus for the base game, at least I don't have abything in my library and I pre-ordered Cyberpunk 2077.

Yes, I believe, that originally client was needed to obtain pre-order bonus, so I decided not to do it. Maybe they change it later, but was so disapointed, that I did not want to support such scam. Until CD Project will start firing managers, nothing will change. The Witcher 3 was extraordinary, so I have no doubts about quality of Cyberpunk story.

I hope, that they have learned their lesson and The Witcher 4 will be better.

I've my hands full with Everspace 2 and BG3 still, but I got :
-Mafia 1 Definitive Edition (and played like 70% of it already, so much fun)

-Tails of Iron : now this I just started but... What a nice surprise. This seems to be done very, very well. And the sequel is only a month away and the previews are already good about it as well (supposedly makes everything about the original even better.) Good job Odd Bug, amazing game!

This item is not helping sway the perception that the Winter Sale is disappointing and lacking in desired releases. I will admit that GOG's advent style calendar has been successful in the sense I have been visiting GOG daily in anticipation of that day's item, and I imagine there are numerous others like me. However, enough underwhelming items will logically breed disinterest.

Well, to be honest - I didn't expect anything...no free game(s), no big new releases.
So, going by that metric, I really can't claim to be disappointed - since I already got more than I 'expected'.

And I guess, that's the main reason for every such online advent calendar.

Maybe not so much disinterest as dampened expectations.

Because I'm pretty sure, everyone will come back and check anyway - because of the FOMO, if they don't.

Depends on what you are looking for. Maybe you just got unlucky with your personal wishlist, but maybe you didn't look close enough? In this tracking thread, together we recorded 500+ new best prices in this sale alone, which is 5% of the entire catalog. I find that quite astonishing so close after the Black Friday sale.

Personally after christmas went by without anything noteworthy, I abandoned all hope. Like I said, you don't wait till most people are done with their shopping to realease something good ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
