piranha1: Try playing UFO: Enemy Unknown on Amiga without the hard drive. I think it was on five floppies (it was years ago, memory's fuzzy), though I don't remember how often they needed to be swapped around. ;)

Civilization was on four, and the record I heard of (though didn't play it myself), Gobliiins 3 (not sure about the number of i's in the title, but I'm pretty sure there was more than one) was on six.
not sure if its the record for a game on floppies for amiga, but for sure very many floppies was this one ...

Monkey Island 2 - LeChuck's Revenge (1991) --- 11 floppies :D

another biggie was historyline (blue byte) .. 6 disks on amiga

In for Little Nightmares please.

I too had Spectrum 128k which was actually a significant jump in quality compared to the Aquarius gaming system I had before that. The biggest jump had to be going from the Spectrum to the 8 bit NES though, I remember my whole family being blown away by the graphics in Super Mario Bros! Crazy how relativity changes throughout the years...

Back to the Speccy though - my favourite game was Robocop and whilst it had limited colour compared to the other versions it was considered the best version. The soundtrack was awesome too - it had a real ambient techo type vibe going on.

Nice giveaway, Doc!

I like the classic Sega Megadrive, it had some unexplainable aura around it, something that felt like you are playing games together with Michelangelo from TMNT. It combined so good with friends and pizza :) , the time went fast forward so fast, - it was crazy. I used to spend time after school together with my best friend playing it, although he didn't have many titles, still I remember UMK3, Sonic 2 and EWJ (which was sadly singleplayer).

As of giveaway, I would like to test luck with "4. War for the Overworld Ultimate Edition" and see how well it compares to classic Dungeon Keeper 2. Thank you!
What a great giveaway! My gaming started on a Franklin Ace 1000 in my childhood,, a nice Apple clone that not only was used for entertainment, but for word processing and educational purposes such as playing what I believe was called Word Race; in the 1980s, it was maybe the only program that had "Speech" output "Don't Ask Computer Software proudly presents... Word Race!" It was a timed vocabulary quiz and I still have "wrong! wrong again! You're right!" etched in my head after all this time. I dabbled in programming on this machine too, though it was mostly just entering the code from a magazine! It may actually be still the longest running computer I've used and I was blissfully unaware of limitations. I just felt lucky to have access to a computer!

So many good games for this giveaway! I've narrowed down to these entries:

Thea: The Awakening
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition
War for the Overworld Ultimate Edition
Little Nightmares
Empires: Dawn of the Modern World
What an amazing giveaway, Doc. This is the best kind of madness. :)

I've started playing video games on a, probably, Atari 2600 knockoff, back in the '90s. After that I've been just a PC gamer. I guess my favourite system is Athlon 64, in mid 2000, around the end of golden era for PC gaming, I would say. That allowed me to play modern games, for that time, and replay older games which ran poorly on weaker previous systems.

I would like to be in for:

War for the Overworld Ultimate Edition
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition
Mafia

Thank you for your generosity, and good luck everyone.
I would like to be in please, for:

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition
Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition
Day of the Tentacle Remastered

Some games I loved on the Dreamcast were Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia ^_^

And I also loved SWOS for the PC and the 360!

Thank you so much for your generosity and big +1 :)
I'm interested for:

2. Empires: Dawn of the Modern World
12. Day of the Tentacle Remastered

And, a gaming console that I love is Playstation 2, mainly due to nostalgia itself. I started to love the console when I used to visit my friend in his house to play Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy together in his PS2, which then culminated when my parents bought my siblings and I our own Playstation 2. It was a great time, when we could still play various games and had fun together before it broke down (Yea, it's no longer functioning now and already collecting dust). This console is also what introduced me to many great games, some of which are Rachet and Clank, Beyond Good & Evil, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, The Sims, Shadow of Colossus, Kingdom Hearts, etc.

Lastly, thanks a lot for the chance! +1
Thank you, Doc0075, for such a generous giveaway !  :-)

I'd like to be in for Little Nightmares.

I have fond memories of the Commodore 64.  It was an amazing beast back in the 80's, with great graphics, sound and music.  My first console was an Atari 2600, but I really started my gaming journey on a Commodore 64, and quickly fell in love with its versatility. I also learned programming on the C64, and discovered the wonderful world of BBS.  Epyx, Cinemaware, Accolade, Lucasfilms and Electronic Arts are names I can't forget, as well as Rob Hubbard and Jeroen Tel, who made magic with the SID chip.

Sulibor: I started my gaming adventure with Commodore 64 and I must say I have found memories of this computer, but what made this machine special was the SID chip. It was the most advanced sound chip available on home computer at in '80.
The SID chip was ahead of its time.   I'm still impressed when I hear this  :-)
Thanks for the very generous giveaway!

I'm in for:
-Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition
-Day of the Tentacle Remastered
-Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition
-Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime

I love the Commodore 64, it was the first computer we had at home. The first video games I ever played were on this computer and I still play many of them somewhat often. Sometimes I pop a game on the emulator just to leave the music playing in the background, the Commodore had such great audio and several games had awesome music. Another thing I owe to this computer is my love for adventure games, in particular for the LucasArts ones, the first ones I played were Maniac Mansion and Zak McKracken, both on my C64, with these games I started learning English. Life would have been very different without my Commodore 64, this computer has a very special place in my heart; it brings me back to my childhood and has continued to give me hours of joy and entertainment through the years. :)
Wow - 100 posts in under 20 hours.

For nostalgia I'd say C64, but realistically a modern PC runs circles around that and more.

Esp. now that a lot of those old games are available again.

Not in, though bit of a shame there isn't more interest in Din's Curse. The expac is tempting, but it's paired with the base game (which I already have) and realistically, I'm probably not going to get to circle back to that any time soon anyway.
thanks for the giveaway.

entering for

din's curse
undertale
serpent in the staglands
baldur's gate 2

in descending order.

I'm pretty cool with most consoles, though I probably get more mileage out of handhelds due to convenience of playing when watching tv. I wouldn't make much progress in my retro backlog without my modded psp for instance. :)
What an impressive giveaway! :o

Doc0075: I want you to name a gaming system that you love (console or computer) and what makes it special.
My "first ever" special system is/was ZX 81. I'm not sure if I can call it "my gaming system" as I did not have access to any buyable game for it at that time but it was my first personal computer which I used to learn programming in BASIC language and I programmed a few simple "games" on it. :D

I'm in for (in order of preference):

- Thea: The Awakening
- Tharsis
- War for the Overworld Ultimate Edition
- Door Kickers
- Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition
- Homeworld Remastered Collection
- Day of the Tentacle Remastered
- Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition
- Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition
The gaming system I love is the Japanese Famicom. My very first gaming console that I got when I was seven years old. I spent more than a 5000 hours playing super mario, contra, megaman, pac-man, and the very first street fighter on this console.

It will always hold a special place in my heart. It used to look like this-
