a) Mafia (yes, the classic)
b) Empires: Dawn of the Modern World
c) Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear

I still love my first "real" windows pc (back in 1998). It was my biggest leap in computer tech. From an Intel386 to a Pentium2 and Windows98. It was the first time I was able to play games with Direct3D graphics. It was able to play the demo of "Deus Ex", my all-time favourite game.
I still remember sadly the day it blew up :-(

te_lanus: For favourite gaming system that I had in my youthful days, I'd say it was the Golden China TV Games system. It was a Clone NES system in the same time frame as the nes. It had almost all the NES games available to buy at the mainstreet shops, but I've found that quite a few of these cartridges won't work on today's clones. For games the normal crowd of nes games: SMB, Antartic Adventure, Adventure Island kep me busy
My childhood! I loved Adventure Island, Contra, and especially all the Rockman games. And there was Jackal, Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, Mappy, Bomber Man, Tiny Toons and so many games that I can't name because they didn't have English titles.

The fun part of that time was the predominance of 2-player co-op, staying over at friend's houses and playing something completely new (or having them stay over), lending and borrowing cartridges.
Not in!

Just want to give a big +1 for an extremely generous giveaway.

Good luck to all.

Man Doc, you really keep alive the feeling of the old days on these forums. Very generous of you.
Not in, as I have quite enough to play right now.

Sounds like the perfect time to bring out an old meme: This is madness! :-)

On a related note I'd like to report a forum bug to GOG: I can't +1 this thread 100 times.

But seriously, I am deeply moved by the generosity that you show here again and again.

For me the gaming system I loved most was also the Amiga. Moving up from a C64 the difference was like day and night even though the C64 was also a great system for its time. It was way ahead of its time and there were so many great games like Dungeon Master, Turrican 2, Ambermoon, Pirates, It came from the desert, ... that you wouldn't know what to play first.

Sadly Commodore rested on its laurels far too long. While PCs went from CGA, to EGA, VGA and SVGA within only a few years (After all, IBM couldn't afford to be shown up by a home computer manufacturer.) C= was doing nothing at all and when the followup models were released the improvements were too little and it was already too late. I still have my Amiga 4000 though and I'm certainly not giving it away.

Mad Doctor indeed! That is one massive list of games!

For me, it's a toss up between my gameboy and my first PC. The gameboy was an amazing peice of kit for its time - although mine was mostly just a portable Tetris machine.

In terms of sheer hours of enoyment, my first PC was best. It was a Pentium 100 with 16MB of RAM and a 1GB hard drive. I remember spending an extra $400 to double RAM from 8MB to16MB. Later I upgraded the video card, and the CPU to 200Hz. I think I even wound up with 32MB of RAM. I was in University, and kind of had the time to game alot. Warcraft 2, Doom 1&2, Dark Forces, Tie FIghter. I played the shit out of all of them.

I'll be in for:
21. Serpent in the Staglands
24. Cryptark
26. Mafia

Thanks for the amazing giveaway!
Firstly i have to say this is an awesome givaway so credit to you for that, i do love GOG for having an actual community.
Secondly this is a subject close to my heart as i was a C64 & Amiga programmer & musician so i might be a little biased so excuse me for that, my first release was Invaders 64 which was just a Space Invaders clone but i'm still proud of that all these years later.

For me it was the C64 that changed gaming forever, until this point keyboards were generally of touch type or rubber which created many problems and a large amount of memory but the thing that changed everything was the soundchip, yes it really was very advanced and still sounds awesome today and this is where i was very creative and made my name is creative circles. Also the C64 had good expandability with a cartridge port which was also used later and with good effect in the 64GS, also the C64 had an excellent version of Basic which is actually an advanced programming language even if others tell you otherwise but i generally used assembly language to program in which was much faster.

Today i use my vast experience on the C64 and it's soundchip (Sound Interface Device) or SID for short to create remixes of some of my own SID's or other well known tracks for the retro community which is literally massive today and i've never been happier about that. Only thing to add on this subject is that sound was a major part of gaming in the 80's but that can't be said today but the industry was an amazing experience back then but it's very different today and can leave you frustrated but it's what i love.

Thanks for listening or reading and nice reading your post.

Thankyou.
I'd like to be in for:
Planescape: Torment: Enhanced Edition

The PS1 was my favorite system. It was the system that introduced me to Final Fantasy VII, one of the best games of all time, and made me a fan of the entire FF series. I also have fond memories of playing other great Square-Soft RPGs like Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, and Vagrant Story as well as some great console exclusives that never made it to PC like Dino Crisis 2, Crash Bandicoot 3, Spyro the Dragon, and Alundra 2. No console has a better game library than the PS1, imo.

Thank you for the generous "mad" giveaway. Best of luck to all the entrants. :)
Not in, but +1 for the generosity.
Thank you for the giveaway.
I'm in for War for the Overworld Ultimate Edition.

For me it's Nintendo DS - there are some memorable games I've played there, like Super Mario 64 DS, Pokémon Platinum, Dragon Quest IX; and even though I could say the same for PC and other consoles, this one is portable/handheld so yeah.
I'm in for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition .

Thanks for the amazing generosity! :D

I have very fond memories of the SNES and the Playstation 1, but it's hard for me to name which one was more important to me. At both epochs I was too much into fighting games, though I always sucked at them.

I do remember the couple of times I tried to finish Resident Evil 1 without a memory card (only the second one worked) and the various times I finished Metal Gear Solid. ^_^

I also remember my Killer Instinct Killer Cuts CD album. So much fun. :D
Count me in for Divinity: Original Sin and The Witcher 3.

I think my favourite console has got to be the Gameboy Advance. Actually managed to complete the Pokedex on Pokemon Ruby. My bro wasn't happy with me stealing his starter pokemon though :3

Good luck everyone!
Thanks for giveaway! My favorite - PC, this was my first gaming platform (times when the DOS era was ending), first games was some fps games (Doom, Quake and Hexen) and adventures (Full Throttle, LBA). After few years I buyed first console, it was 16 bit Sega Mega Drive (was totally outdated for that time, but had a nice price), first cartridges was Earth Worm Jim 2 and wwf wrestlemania.
