After reading this thread I was actually stupid enough to watch the trailer.
I'm scared and disturbed. Really. I just turned the light on and put My Neighbor Totoro in die DVD player. *shivers

I LOVE my neighbor totoro! Ghibli rules.

And the rest of you freaks can go fap to death-porn. *shudders* I'm not even going to bother watching the trailer - if it's anything like Hostel I'm so passing. No, it wasn't scary. It was just... UTTERLY POINTLESSLY FUCKED UP.
I have to say, I've never really seen the appeal of horror films. Why do people want to be horrified, terrified etc.?

Valid question! For me, I enjoy horror movies (I'm profoundly deaf and always have been, so I don't get as scared - I think a major factor in this is the doon doon doon music and all that stuff... *shrugs*) and I believe that people enjoy it so they can perhaps overcome their own fears?

I.e. "Oh... I guess my fear of *whatever* is kinda stupid." (Char gains +4 courage, permanently)

Get what I mean?

But that said, I despise these stupid "shock" films, which in my opinion are NOT horror (read some of the above comments by others) - they are simply fucked up shit designed to fuck your head up. And who the hell would WANT to do some of that crap I ask you...

I watched the Human Centipede. Both movies. Really good. Not disturbing. And certainly non horror, not the least bit! The women in 1 were so good looking, actually, that i seriously forgot it was supposed to be a gross, freaking movie... I was pretty entertained by their screams and fear! So much, i almost got a boner! The japanese man made me laugh hard, movie for me almost turned into comedy with his constant nagging and blabbermouthing!

2 reminded me of an ugly mod for Half-Life, but with humans instead of aliens. The protagonist of 2 seemed to me VERY SIMILAR to GABE NEWELL, especially for his looks! During the entire movie, i was bothered by the thought: "Is the entire movie a what if fantasy film, about Gabe Newell's life, had he not been rich and successful, but in the shoes of that poor sob"?

Actually, i was pretty pissed about the lack of realism in 2. I mean, how can crowbar replace anesthesia and how can an idiot without proper equipment, do the precise job of a master surgeon?

Doc in 1 should have been a Tzimisce fleshcrafter from WoD! I would love a mod for bloodlines make a quest similar to the human centipede 1 movie!

You have a fitting avatar for what you just did. Thank you very much for necroing this thread about an awesome movie that for some reason didn't receive due attention almost 5 years ago.
No, seriously, weren't there some interesting things to dig up? Like, I don't know, a balrog or torporous Caine.
