Never played the game but haven't you watched Supernatural? You have to burn their bones so that they don't return as ghosts :P

tinyE: I AM THE GOD OF HELLFIRE AND I BRING YOU......fire! :D

Seriously, in Postal 2 you do it because you get bonus points for it, so long as you immediately piss on it afterwords. In MK of course, if you are using Scorpion, it is also good for big time bonus points.
Damn it. I hate that a burnt corpse fucker like you, brought up this song before I did... Why can't you just listen to Justin Bieber 24/7?

In Norse mythology, the only way to kill a Draugr is to cut off his head, burn the body and dump the ashes into the sea.

OHHH, this topic is about a game. I figured it was an unusually brazen advice/discussion thread for serial killers (and the voices that tell them what to do).
...
Er, and I just came in here out of, uh, curiosity.

tinyE: Well you still can once the fire is out. Just make sure you let it cool down a little.

Crackpot.756: Sometimes I really don't know whether I should be amused or disturbed by you people.
I think you're supposed to feel aroused, actually.

Nonsense. If I felt aroused every time anyone posted something disturbing and/or funny on here I'd have a heart attack sooner than I'd ever imagined.
Is The Evil Within on GOG?

I think it's homage to Resident Evil to where if you don't burn the bodies the Zombies will come back up after some time.

I assume for The Evil Within you burn them for the chance to get more medicine or ammo.

That would be a shame indeed.

On the other hand, we'd get to do... stuff... to your corpse, so it's not all bad!

Honestly, you could probably get the same experience if you just gave me enough whiskey. No need to kill me. :|

No one said anything about killing you! Just making the best of the situation, y' know.

Besides, decent whiskey is expensive. :P

I never said "decent". I'll take what I can get.

Also, still not entirely sure whether I should be disturbed or amused.

No.

Yes, the game is full of it, even to other games and movies.

Nope, it's random, burning the corpses doesn't rises the chances of more loot.
We burn bodies........To find that answer.

I could have sworn I got some stuff when burning bodies?
Oh well I guess it's just a homage then.
