This is something that's likely come up at some point during the various incarnations of this thread but after seeing someone request (even though it was withdrawn almost immediately after) one of the Humble Monthly subscriptions in the past despite them having a portion of the games that were revealed at the time on their Steam account for it I became a bit curious about this, at least enough to ask anyway.

When requesting stuff that's on offer, what's the etiquette expected of people making the requests? Are they expected to redeem the games for themselves or are they free to just soak up things like the example above and then proceed to trade away what they got (I'll admit I'm making a pretty big assumption that trading was the purpose behind the request of the sub before it was withdrawn)? I realize with Steam keys and just keys that aren't typically tethered to a system that leaves a note on what account actually redeems them and where they redeem them makes it next to impossible to police such things in any way outside of any donor potentially asking that a note be given that it be used for personal purposes or something similar but I'm still a bit curious about it all.
I don't know about others, but if I managed to scoop current HM from this giveaway, all unused keys will be given to finkle.

As you pointed out, I have no way of checking where the keys end up, but I would hope that everyone who's granted a key either redeems it themselves or gives it to a good friend or family member.

Reasonable enough. Though I cited a fairly specific example, I didn't call anyone out for it because it was less a "let's spin the big wheel of accusations" and honestly just a personal curiosity on what's generally expected with the keys that float out of this thread. I personally don't do (or rather haven't done) much trading outside of... one (I think, at least) time here on GOG years ago but just from stray observation of people across multiple places I can see a number of them are in the power trading circuit and I've been curious about whether they've used this thread as a means to accumulate keys to trade up toward things that typically would never be donated (unless the individual donating them is shooting for a humanitarian of the eon award or something).

Those games currently aren't on the list. Please familiarize yourself with the rules for this giveaway by reading the first post of this thread.

You seem to be new here, so you don't really qualify for the giveaway yet. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the forum and make some meaningful posts and/or tell some jokes here and there in threads that aren't specifically for game giveaways, and before you know it you'll be eligible. Please familiarize yourself with the rules of this giveaway, which are located in the first post of this thread. In the meantime, someone in the community gifting thread might be able to help you out. The only way to fast-track the qualification process is to donate some keys. I'm just trying to make sure you're not only on the forum to get free games. Donating isn't mandatory, but it's a good indication that you're not just here for free games.

All donations are greatly appreciated! You'll need to either add me as a friend or change your chat settings so you can chat with anyone by going to "orders & settings" and then "privacy".
Your heart is in the right place, BeatriceElysia, but maybe don't advertise this thread into communities elsewhere.
