Schizo2015: zeo thx for the hosting and gogtrial34987 thx for the game.
You're very welcome. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did. I was completely unaware of the game when I first got it in a humble bundle, way back when - just liked the look of it, and so was very, very pleasantly surprised by the entire experience. One of batch of games back then which really drew me back into gaming, so it feels good gifting it onward. :)

Cavalary: Good luck with that first one. Meant to do the same thing and got stuck there, the lack of saving except at inns made me not dare do much of anything, kept saying I'll continue, didn't, eventually "formally" abandoned it, but years had passed and any resolve to do that got worn down, so didn't even start 2nd yet, though you should be able to save anywhere, and also have automap, in that.
So if you can deal with that, go for it. If not, maybe cut your losses early and skip straight to 2 or even 3.

Oh, by the way, Oleg recently went through and reviewed the series on MobyGames. Bar the first one, he didn't want to try that one either.

Do I understand correctly that after the first part Might & Magic series become quite playable for today's gamers with such features as automapping and saving available out of the box?

Since I didn't actually play 2 (or 3, or WoX), don't know directly, but had read something along the lines of those things being available to some extent. As far as I know, controls in 2 are same as in 1, so that's definitely not something today's gamers would put up with. And cartography, for the automap, is a skill to learn. Saving... I *thought* you could save anywhere in 2, but now I'm not so sure anymore, since I see it mentioned as being something notable for 3 (which also has automap from the get go).
Hmm... Guess I should have looked into it again before posting. 3 should be safe for a retro gamer today. 2, takes dedication, exactly how much depends on where you can save I'd say. And was sure I read that you could save anywhere in 2... Weird.
May I ask for StarDew Valley? :)
May I ask for Subterrain
Thank you BranjoHello for donating the Gamers: Director's Cut and thank you Zeogold as always. I'm waiting for the right nerdy night to watch it with company after a quick game.

Sry 2 zeogold 4 the derailment, just like add a little onto wat Cavalary said. As the review (as provided by Cavalary's links) mention, autosave anywhere is enabled in Part 3 but i believe this is not so in part 1 & 2. not very sure how it works on Part 1 yet as i hv not started playing (maybe this wkend) but part 2 i know u can only save when u enter an inn. Hope this info helps. :)

I don`t understand... So people just give games away? For free?
