I'd like to request that copy of Pandemonium, please?

zeogold: Apologies, I never saw it. The notification system is completely broken unless you use Galaxy, in which case, from what I understand, it's still kind of spotty.
avatar
BenKii: Have you tried using the "Barefoot Essentials" user script? I've been using it since Gog took away notifications and can say it puts all the notifications back better than they were before. If you'd like try it out, you can go to the link below and follow the instructions on how to install it.

I know it exists, but I never bothered with it because it sounded kind of complicated. Before you say "It's easy, Zeo! What are you talking about? All you do is click two buttons!" remember that I'm completely and utterly tech-illiterate to a degree which most people on here have never even remotely dreamed of could be so stupid.

Urnoev: I'd like to ask for the game "Puzzle Agent". I'm in the mood for some simple and quiet point-and-click action and think it might be a nice fit.
Granted.

If you'd like, I could guide you step by step in the process to get it set up. Someone of your stature in the forum most likely get tons of replies from people so I would think it would be most beneficial to get BE installed. I know I was hesitant at first to install it but once I did, I couldn't imagine going through the Gog forums without it.

If you still don't want it, that's cool too we'll just wait for when Gog gets around to fixing the notifications. :P

Another recommendation: Desperados.

Really people, RTS does not get much better than this. There's a comment I wrote a few years ago.
Also, the game has the "team quick action command", where you can register an action for each team member and then press a key to make them all act simultaneously. I think it is even better than Commandos.

+1 recommendation for Desperados
When the game came out a computer magazine offered a cd with a demo of the game. I had never played Commandos by the way and thought it would be a walk in the park so no need to save during the first mission. Lesson learned the hard way:)

The GOG version crashes A LOT. I ended up going back to my CD version.

Thanks for the game zeogold, and thanks to godunow for donating it!

I also didn't receive a notification that you had sent me a message, so i guess something is wrong with the notifications.

Yes, all notifications on the website have been inoperational for some time, now. They work on Galaxy, but GOG hasn't bothered to fix 'em on the site.

True. At least on Win 7, though the real problems were only in two specific levels, those that had lots of characters moving and talking; I believe it is a sound problem, as I managed to fix a lot of the crashes by converting the audio files in another format. I haven't tried it on Windows 10, so *maybe* they adjusted the things a bit. Maybe.
