catpower1980: Breja brought up an article about the shutting down of IMDB boards which I wasn't aware of.

Now, I'm like "NNNNNOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" :(((
Now that I remembered, I went to see what kind of feedback I had gotten to my theory of one scene in certain movie.

I got a few replies and they were fine. Nobody even called me a cracker or a hetero. Two persons found my theory an interesting take on the weird(?) scene, while a third one disagreed and felt I was reading too much into the movie/scene. Maybe so, but that's the beauty of it, people may interpret the movie (and the scene) differently.

And now that discussion group will be closed down?!? NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO indeedy...

Yup, the big problem is that there's no real aternative to it currently. I only know two French-speaking forums (based respectively on classic movies and the horror genre) which have good insightful communities but naturally they can't achieve the same (gathering a worlwide knowledgeable community) as they're structured like forums and not databases primarly (which helps searching and navigating). If I were younger, I would probably work on an alternative movies online database but I've already done so 15 years ago and I learned how tremendously huge this task is (even when it's broken down to a specific region or genre).

If you know some quality English forums, let me know so I can lurk ;)
Close call, a freaky storm hit yesterday and a huge gum tree branch landed on my roof.

Winds over 100KPH, luckily no major damage as I have no insurance currently.

Branch was about arm thickness and 10 foot long, so pretty big, it actually travelled about 15 metres to hit my place.

They call gum trees widowmakers, because they drop huge branches all the time.

I don't have any on my property, but my neighbours all do, and of course, they hang over my place and drop gum, seeds, leaves, bark and branches.

Full of parrots and cockatoos who crap everywhere and damage lines.

I thought you better than that!

SHAME ON YOU! :P
Some people, unlike your punk-nazi, neo-fascistic, sisterhood-caliphate liberal-ass, actually are Democrats and not in name only... I expressed my opinion, that man voiced an argument, i have an obligation to see that this fine man right there expresses it and i to inspect it. Unlike you, i don't beat up the people i disagree with, or break their cars, or break shops with hammers, or set fires, while carrying rainbow flags!

Shame on you who wants to turn democracy into a dictatorship or something!

timppu: Ok, so apparently you think that "EU" (other EU countries? EU commission? ECB?) is somehow forcing Greece to be in the euro zone, to use euro as its currency?

Nope, not at all. "EU" can't tell any euro country to remain, nor exit (*), euro. It is all up to you Greeks whether you want to use euro as your currency. So far your leaders (Syriza) have wanted to remain in euro, for a reason or another. If the reports are to be believed, your former finance minister (Valoudaskiskitkatkiss or something) was preparing in secrecy a plan B to take your own currency into use, but your prime minister apparently rejected the idea. That's also probably the reason the finance minister was swapped.

So it is up to you people. I for one would be all for Greece to exit euro, I was already hoping that back when Syriza won the elections years ago, as that is what Syriza seemed to be promising, exiting EU/euro. But nope, they didn't fulfill that promise. I'm also wishing Finland would have never entered euro either, just like Sweden didn't. Then we wouldn't have participated in the Greek bailouts either.

(*) About forcing a country to exit the euro zone, I think there are things ECB could do to make it hard for a country to remain in euro... but AFAIK they can't directly tell anyone to exit it.
You are right at most points and i actually was a little bit too hasty, sentimental and unjust. Truth be said, the money loaned to us are being thrown in a black hole in vain and most of them, is being leeched by professional crooks. We couldn't enter Euro currency, but the vermin ruling us at the time, "cooked" statistics, made us enter by deceiving you all and without giving us any choice or say on the matter, or hold a referendum or something like that (not that recently when we did a referendum, anything changed, those leftist bastards turned NO into YES, anyway)... Same trash and associates, even robbed half the country dry, through a huge stock-market scandal, during his time being in power, back then (when we entered Euro currency). But the Union itself is bad for us, too. One of the main reasons, is the obligatory vermin-gration policies (that right now threaten to undo us completely, we are swarmed) and certain obligations to trade (to import certain goods we already have, while being made to export ours, preventing self-sufficiency), or restrictions (especially in industry, or agriculture).

Sorry for my former hostile tone. I actually pity European taxpayers, who loan to us all those money, so corrupt parasites (mostly public servants, the cancer that socialists in 80s created and only now is becoming terminal for good) can live like kings and bitch-queens. Finally, as i said before, there are economists writing entire analysis, on the field "how bad imported currency is for foreign economies" (carrying the risk to undo its market entirely and throughout inspection of why and how, national currency is always better, or at least double currency, to total conversion. And certainly, which is also quite common knowledge, how poor or growing economies, can't sustain a strong, hard currency (exactly like Euro). Some go so far as to claim, Euro came as a trojan horse to plunder profit away, to its place of origin. The fact that i lived in previous eras and have a comparison, actually, make me agree to that. First day in Euro, EVERYTHING had exactly TRIPLE the cost, compared against even the previous day's costs, in local currencies. The rest, everybody knows (about crisis and whatever else).

I really find it funny and ironic how tinyE has become from the most loved to one of the most hated person on gog forums.

Just a year ago, the entire gog forum was supporting him and taking his side.

Now he has made enemies left and right.

He even got kicked out of the other gog forum created by one another gogger who left this forum due to trolls.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

I don't have any problem with tinyE... We merely jump at each other for fun, occasionally, from time to time, i never considered xe an enemy! Ze might have been too insulting during certain occasions, only in the distant past i must admit, that i actually don't mind. But truth be said, i really find it strange that xe is not as "everybody's pal" person, exactly as xe used to be before... I actually like zym and even consider xe a "must" forum member!

Lay off the toner.
God damn it Google! It seems the reason e.g. ASUS Transformer TF101 owners (like me) are now having Google Services constantly crashing on their Android tablets is this:

If this started on or about the 9th it is due to Google putting ARM neon code into the last update. Older ARM chips do not have neon code functionality and are therefore screwed. My 6 year old Asus TF101 with a Tegra 2 processor was still running like a champ with android 6.0.1 until last week.
Nice one! Making a whole set of Android devices (regardless of their Android version etc.) obsolete with one "tiny" update (which you can't even block normally as Google auto-updates it whenever it can). Ok so I bought my TF101 like 4½ years ago IIRC, but it was still working fine, even the batteries are quite ok.

Now it seems the only way I can use it at all is to reinstall Android without Google services, meaning I can't use Google Play Store etc. on it anymore. I wonder if e.g. the Youtube app is available as an apk installer, and still works fine by itself?

Oh well, at least I can install Humble Bundle Android games on it, I guess... Yeah yeah all hardware will become obsolete at some point, but on e.g. the PC side it usually takes much longer and doesn't happen system-wide. So yeah, maybe there are now 64bit Windows games that you can't run on old 32bit Windows or CPUs anymore, but come on, they don't make the whole system suddenly unusable.

I mean, if I now bought a brand-new Windows 10 laptop, and in 5 years MS would push a Windows 10 update which would make that laptop near unusable... yeah I would be angry.

zeo and I are still good friends and he didn't leave this forum. :P

I was removed from a forum because I violated rules set down by the server, not him, and as the designated OP, he was forced to kick me or else lose the server entirely.

There is another server with much less stringent rules we currently hang out on together every day and we have a blast.

must be more "FAKE NEWS!"

Still, fine reporting tort, and let me be the first to offer my condolences for the friends and family you lost at the "Bowling Green Massacre".

Or was it Atlanta?

Or was it last night in Sweden? :P

>implying tinyE was ever the most loved
>implying tinyE is somehow now the most hated

I guess at least you stayed consistent in that spectrum in terms of both how much you're loved and how much you hate him, eh?

I didn't break any rules and yet I was "removed", unless there was a "server rule" that no Kleetus' are allowed.

He was by you until your falling out.

Prior to that he was your bestest buddy and bumchum, even when he was abusing people and their parents you would jump in and protect him.

So spare us your bullshit, better yet, why aren't you over at Maggot Forums?

Funny enough, Sweden actually DID have a terror attack in January, only Neo-Nazis committed it.
