"What's this little weapon, which hurt us so much?"
Respect and respects to Cabu, Wolinski, Tignous & Charb, and the eight others.
It is a consoling thought that there are such men and women, who fight for ideals such as the freedom of press, with a full knowledge what it may cost them. At unjustly high cost, indeed - but their cherished principle is likely to emerge only reinforced.
---
Just post this here as well. It is such a fundamental violation of European values - the freedom of thought and press aggravating the matter of hideously butchering a number of persons - that I have no heart for debate, just sense of solidarity and affirmation.
But let us take heart in the rallying around Charlie Hebdo, and France. Lives may have been snuffed, but not the greater principle.
Profondement navrée - mais aussi confidante que l'ignorance ne saura jamais supprimer ni la liberté de presse, ni celle de pensée.
