Redfern: (Dammit, make me mute), but there is still interesting question - can QUANTITY compensate QUALITY? If someone feel like his offer inferior, is it ok to add more stuff?

Ok, i see. Guess, its really not easy to prevent gift for gift from degradation to trading, as BlackDawn said.
If you gift to someone other than the person who gifts you, it wouldn't be trading; that's also in the rules :p

I'll try to keep it to a three rule maximum, let me figure some stuff out, and I am definitely looking for feedback- this isn't my thread, it's for the community, so it depends on what you guys want, and how you think you want to do giveaways in a exploitation-free environment.

Hey i might be a bit critical but i think this may turn in a great thread and thank you for putting time in it.
3 rules maximum is a worthy goal i guess!

Glad my post is being updated, since those offers would stay buried seeing this is getting bigger.

foxworks: It was added in response to this

cmdr_flashheart: Yeah, I don't think Awolnation purposely meant to do it, but giving 99 Levels to Hell (steam) for Neverwinter Nights (GOG) seemed exploitative to me, so I made the rule.

GOG keys are DRM-free and have goodies other than the game, so it seems like the best match for them is other GOG keys.
Best solution is to leave it up to the gifter. Gifter should have the option to request that the person that takes the code must give a GOG key to someone else in return.

Making "GOG keys for GOG keys" a rule is too strict. Always leave that type of thing up to the gifter.

I guess it was given away for free at one point. But you had to buy a game to get it. And it's an awesome game/$9.99. If the OP wants it taken down that's cool too.

Yes, i recall such thing one day here. I have friend of mine which was very interested in that game at that time, have to ask him if he still after it.

Nah, it's cool for the reason you gave; the "no free keys" is suppose to be against people who can stockpile such games w/o cost.
+1 to gifters

Is it ok to offer steam gifts for GOG games now?

Judging by the revised rules, you're free to offer steam or other for a GOG title. However, the offer may be turned down if believed to be of 'not equal value'
