And I thought working reactors in Spacechem are beautiful and hypnotizing!
that one needs some optimising and tinkering. The one that I found most satisfying so far is this one https://giphy.com/gifs/xUOxf9PuND5TbGsBfG though it can also be optimised. there is at least one piston too many
I'm obsessed with optimization.

From the title of your image, I expected a bunch of stars fighting a war.

not really, it is much more accessible than Zachtronics previous games, and the free and open form of the game mean you are looking for a solution, rather than the solution. The game give you all the tools from the get go, and there are no penalties, which means you do exactly what you want to complete a level. Whether you then want to spend time optimizing your creation, or just see what kind of silliness you can do. The game has a very gentle learning curve and a very good tutorial which teaches you everything you need to make the machines work. As it gives you all the tools you need from the start, complexity is introduced by the nature of the inputs and outputs, not by giving you new things to learn as you progress.

Basically, it is easier than it looks, and while you will spend some time on each level finding a solution, it never feels frustrating, and in the end when the thing is running you end up feeling very smug and clever.

That's why I loved the first planets in Spacechem. The game encourages you to build solutions, which are beautiful and as simple as possible, but on the other hand it allows you to use some ugly solution just to achieve the goal and pass through.

It's a pleasure to optimize and there is no frustration, when you're not able to design something smarter.

Unfortunately this is not exactly true for the game's ending - I've struggle to find a proper solutions for the last two planets and there is not much space for maneuver there.
Here's another one, taken from a spot that isn't supposed to be reachable.

Yeah graphics aren't everything, gameplay is so much more important, blabla... but i just love the visual style, one of the most beautiful games i've ever played i think. (DX:MD)

Back to Mark of the Ninja and trying to figure out how to have this chandelier drop on two guards simultaneously on the upper walkway. It's one of the level's ingame achievements.

From Prison Architect. This is a screenshot taken from the "Visitation" ward of my prison.

I think I know why this guy's son wound up behind bars. :P

And in case you are wondering, it was not during the night time so Werewolf is out. XD
