37. Midday in Whiterun's market and the town's womenfolk gather.

41. Rayya and I hire a carriage to Solitude and, then, onto the dangerous town of Riften seeking our fortune.

45. The Ratway beneath Riften is among the most fascinating places I've been in any game. A wooden city under a city.

47. On our way to The Ratway's Ragged Flagon to join the Thieves Guild.

48. Below The Ratway, Rayya and I slowly make our way to the almost mythical subterranean bar known as the Ragged Flagon. The way is riddled with bandits and lethal traps.

51. Approaching the Ragged Flagon that doubles as the Thieves Guild headquarters. At a guess, I'd say no other Redguard beside Rayya even knows of this place, let alone ever be in it.

Since most games are in 3rd person, I can see how folks would conclude that from my screens. But my screens are in my own -- ie, the player's -- perspective. Rayya is one of tons of Skyrim NPCs the player can retain as a follower or companion. She follows everything I do and helps out in battle every time. In fact, as the game goes on, for many quest lines it's almost essential to have a follower to be able to progress.

54. Despite Riften being so shady, it's a fascinating town. Here, to prove myself to the Thieves Guild, I head out to go lean on some deadbeats owing the Thieves Guilds considerable coin. Rayya will help me make the point, that it's time to settle accounts.

55. Having done good, above, the Thieves Guild grants me membership as Rayya looks on. The guild will be putting me to good use right away.

The Thieves Guild in The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim, along with the civil war quest line, is among the best I've played in it and The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion. In Oblivion the two best quest lines are the Fighters Guild and the main quest closing the Oblivion gates and dealing with its minions invading Tamriel two hundred years before the events of Skyrim.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

After leaving a trail of mercs corpses behind , Lala Craft finally found sidekick Jonah that was cowardly hidding as usual, only to learn that this idiot lost the mcguffin and that the trinity mercs are now escaping with it on one of their helicopter.

"Dammit Jonah, you're back at being stupidly useless... " Lala said.

As useless sidekick left with his girlfriend, Lala decided to go in pursuit of the helicopter , in her mind the mcguffin was hers, "My Precious ! it's mine ! " ... hmm , looks like Lala had been around those Gollums a bit too much.

Running into some random peruvian village , a disaster started again : a massive tremor happened, creating a huge landside that destroyed the village, killing even more innocent people all around, all because of Lala being reckless.in the start of her adventure.
Not that she cared, psychopath one day, psychopath forever was the best definition of what Lala Craft was.

After a lot of stunts and death-defying acrobatics, Lala managed to escape the massive disaster and without a thought about all the innocent lives sadly lost in this day, while smiling Lala said :
"Now, that was fun."

Confirming she was truly utterly mad.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

After the trinity mercs managed to run away with the mcguffin, Lala Craft still very pissed off decided it was time to end them all and get the mcguffin back , "I must get the Precious ! It's mine. !" .

Following their tracks , she discovered the hidden Yaaxil city, a whole army of the trinity mercs was attacking it because they needed to use a special place in that city to achieve some kind of ritual.

"Wow a city full of Gollums" Lala thought

To her surprise the Yaaxil didn't attacked her this time, the Yaaxil leader contacted Lala and asked her to take part in some kind of prophecy to save the world , so basically just another day in Lala's adventures.
She offered a mask to Lala that would make her highly respected by all the Yaaxil, as she was then basically assuming the role of one of their deities in their prophecies.

The Yaaxil leader presented herself as the "Crimson Fire" , "I'll still call you Gollum" Lala thought.

The task was simple :
Lala just had to stop the mercenaries ritual in which their leader wanted to become the god of the cosplayers or something stupid like that. She then had to take the mcguffin power and give it back to the Yaaxil.

"I accept, i'll get The Precious back ... i mean the mcguffin" Lala replied.
"And you'll bring it back to us, right ?" the Crimson Fire asked

"... of course ... " Lala said with such a big evil smile that it made the Crimson Fire worry a lot. Lala was still remembering that those harpies tried to kill her multiple times.
Plus the mcguffin was hers, no way she would give it back.

Then with all her new Yaaxil sisters, Lala Craft went to war against the mercenraries that were trying protecting the ritual.
"Let's go my Gollums, it's stabbing time !" Lala screamed when rushing at those poor mercs,

Heh, the running commentary aligns well with the screens. At this point, Lala's become more interesting than Lara herself. Instead of going all Woke, they should start cranking out Lala games.
gothic remake vs gothic original ^

brainer, can't decide

The game in itself is not really woke at all, it's just very badly wrote in so many ways .

The 2 other Tomb Raider of this "survivor trilogy" weren't having a great story or character dialogues, but this Shadow of the Tomb Raider have frankly the worst story nonsense and dialogues.

Without even mentionning how they wrote the main character being utterly stupid, near-submissive, apologizing constantly , slave to her emotions in the worst times , even in the 2 previous games had the character being less ridiculous than that.
You can feel that's not the same people that wrote the 2 first game vs this one

What save the game is really the environment being exploration immersive and the gameplay , stunts and battles making it fun, but in term of story telling, dialogues and characterisation they really have should fired the people responsible of this horrendous writing and hired much better writers.

At least the "Lala Craft" psychopath correspond totally with the hundred of people she kills through the game, while the actual game "Lara Croft" is completely unbelievable in her reaction in comparison to the serial killing she does.
66. About 6 AM on a sunny morning in Whiterun. This town is the wholesome opposite of evil Riften.

67. Heimskr the Whiterun preacher is up literally from dawn through dusk 7 days a week at the base of the Talos statue to urge Nords to rise up against the Empire.

68. Still so early in the morning that the Whiterun market babes aren't at their kiosks.

71. Right, Saadia the ex-pat Redguard babe in hiding in Skyrim and helping out at The Bannered Mare inn here in Whiterun, confides to me how she desperately needs someone to deal with two Redguard mercenaries searching to return her to Hammerfell to face execution for speaking out against the Thalmor. At left her fellow countrywoman, my follower Rayya, looks on. It is mostly this short but lore rich quest that convinces fanboys the upcoming The Elder Scrolls VI is set in Hammerfell.
