Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Lala Craft was lucky, the Yaaxil couldn't enter their most sacred place in which the mcguffin was hidden.
So they were staying at the door being pissed off that Lala could do whatever she wanted in there.

But Lala being Lala, she couldn't stop herself from taunting the Yaaxil
Lala : " Hey Gollum, you're hiding your Precious in there ?"

The Yaaxil started to scream various insults and curses but as Lala didn't knew the language she couldn't care.
Lala : " Hey Gollum, looks like you're still as ugly as ever and can't even enter a room, hey Gollum you hear me ?"

the Yaaxil leader was fuming , the level of disrespect for their sacred mission, and that thief mocking them...
After Lala started to search the mcguffin coffer, she noticed a message "Sorry Mario the mcguffin is in another castle"
This annoyed Lala tremendously, some other thief had already fetched the mcguffin before her, damn.

Lala : " Hey Gollum, looks like Frodo stole your Precious again you damn idiots !"
Lala doing her best Gollum voice "My Precious , my Precious ... ha ha ha you're so stupid Gollum"

The Yaaxil leader exploded of rage and hatred
"Murder her my sisters ! Kill that damn bastard !"

Lala figured out she made a mistake telling the Yaaxil that the mcguffin wasn't there, as it meant they were then free to enter the room.
Fortunately there was another exit and Lala managed to run away followed by a legion of very angry gollums in some very acrobatic great escape.

Later while exploring more grotto she ran into some conquistador ship , yeah a big ship inside a completely closed grotto, made no sense but Lala had long learned that it was a waste of time to try to make sense of things here

Lost Diskettes https://www.gog.com/en/game/lost_diskettes_vol1

Deserves more attention, its absolutely bloody brillant and as good as the Unsorted Horror games bundle.
Just finished this last night and its a 5/5 9/10 from me.

Give it a chance if you loved Unsorted Horror, and surreal short retro style horror games some of which had some great references to real life. A few has multiple endings.
Worth so much more than asking price imo.

Non spoilery images.

Yes, it's a really good game, enjoyed a lot of my playthrough when i completed it recently

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Coming back to Paititi to see if the cosplayer queen family drama finally solved itself, Lala Craft was disapointed to see that it was still ongoing, and as usual none of those dumb guys can do anything by themselves so it's again up to Lala to do something to help those cosplayers ...

So this time Lala is given a priestess cosplay costume so she could infiltrate more areas, she thought it was very stupid considering she saw 0 priestess existing in that whole town making it so the bad cosplayers would immediately spot her, but no, they were as dumb as the friendly cosplayers and didn't noticed her despite it was so obvious.

Oh well, remember Lala : things making sense was not a priority in the game.

Lala was then invited to a cosplaying maya/inca priest convention ... and it went exactly as Lala expected

I've been away for a couple of days. @Sanc's Lala thumbs up shot made my day today.

Immortal Redneck is my go-to game when I can't decide on what to play, or am bored, or want action without having to fuss over RPG mechanics. Simply gain XP and keep getting stronger against increasingly stronger opponents. Always highly recommended, 10 out of 10.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Taking some time off the cosplayer family drama, Lala Craft went to explore more of the jungle, she discovered one of the many many ancient ruins (considering how many there are, Lala was rather puzzled at how comes none spotted those before) and discovered another old conquistador stranded boat at some distance.

Getting back to Paititi after her long walk , Lala was immediately hired as a detective tasked to figure out what happened in a crime scene.
Lala facepalmed hard considering none of those that were already investigating noticed the very very obvious blood tracks on the floor, and that just following them allowed our tomb raiding detective to find the weapon used and interrogate a witness that allowed to quickly find the murderer.

"Those cosplayers are really incredibly dumb" Lala thought once more.

Oh well.

Later after doing some more to help those idiots to do things because they just can't do anything by themselves, Lala ran into a kid that was taken into the jungle by her father and his friends to be murdered in sacrifice to "save the sun".

If there's one thing that piss off Lala it's those kind of people, ready to murder other innocent people as "sacrifice". Ok you're believing you're going to save the sun with an human sacrifice, but then why sacrifice someone other than yourself, damned coward.

Let's say that as expected the father and his friends were stabbed in the face after Lala saved the child.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Visiting Paititi's previously forbidden areas thanks to her priestess cosplaying disguise, Lala Craft ran into the result of a carnage.

Up to now she was always laughing at those so called "rebels" everywhere in town claiming how much they were warriors and were fighting for whatever reason.
... while in reality all they were doing is sitting on their bottom and doing absolutely nothing at all, yeah "warrior" that constantly needed Lala to do something for them because they were too dumb and cowards to even try to do it themselves. Reminded her of the internet with people complaining constantly but doing nothing to get their life going better.

Lala wasn't surprised to see how those that were really warrior were all dead, those guys were so dumb they thought it was a good strategy to rush an enemy stronghold without weapons while the other guys were all wielding big sword and bows .
She even noticed one of the evil cosplayers being puzzled at that level of stupidity.

Anyways, after quickly moving away from that zone, Lala reached the upper quarters of the city where the nobility or high ranking cosplayers were living their days cut from the poorest lower quarters.

Protected from the poorest quarters maybe, but nothing could protect those fools from Lala , out of the game devs sadly blocking her of course.

She noticed that there weren't really any difference with the cosplayers from the lower quarters : the higher quarter cosplayers were doing nothing out of some human sacrifice (again they were not sacrificing themselves, they were doing it on innocent people) to have fun ...
... sigh at least the samurai and byzantines cosplayers of the previous games were doing things while going around, but here Lala met the most lazy of the cosplayers in the world.

After running into yet another family drama between the woman that pretend to be the queen of the cosplayer and the man that want to become the god of the cosplayers, Lala decided that their whinning was so ridiculous and unfunny that it was a better idea to go annoy the priests in their various rituals

Cosplayer Priest : " Please can you stop doing that , it's disturbing"
Lala : " No"

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

After solving (at least for some time) those cosplayers family drama, Lala Craft had enough of the ambient level of stupid of those guys and decided to go for a trip again, but this time far enough so the devs of the game aren't forcing her to wear those cosplaying costume and ignore the truckload of other possible ones.

(for a region of the game in which you'll spend +/- 50% of the time, it was a really bad design to force the player to ignore nearly all the costume and their varied bonus and only to allow a few maya/inca-like ones)

Sad news : sidekick Jonah went with her on the boat again, can't the guy get a life ?
Good news : a trinity attack helicopter shot Lala's boat, getting rid of Jonah and providing more mercenary target for her stabbing skills, something that is always good for Lala.

And lot of stabbing there was indeed
The Refinery Lala discovered and managed to set fire to (such a great idea from Lala in the middle of a jungle, can't imagine the disaster) gave Lala a big smile, finally time for more destruction !

After shooting enough stuff that even the attack chopper exploded , our pyromaniac psychopath was finally in a good place : things were burning and there were mercs running screaming around waiting to be stabbed.

And things were really looking good for Lala : no more Jonah annoying her with his judgemental stupid attempt at giving some word of wisdom !

Heh, Lala has her way with the bots of our world but I think she wouldn't last long in the province of Skyrim!
With a knife and a shotgun she can do everything :D

Shadow of the Tomb Raider

What a disaster, Lala Craft's day was going to be one of the best of her life, she was finally free from annoying patronizing sidekicks and their stupid attempt at sounding wise...

But Jonah just popped up "hey Lala i'm still alive"

Lala thought that guy was just immortal , he was certainly one of the plague sent by the gods to make her life miserable, there was no other explanation, Lala's face was saying it all.

Oh well, resuming their travel to find the stolen mcguffin Lala and Jonah finally reached the next hub , San Juan a little town that was built around the Mission of San Juan.

Lala was pleasantly surprised to see that there was no silly cosplayers around, just normal people.
It was still annoying to her that they were all friendly, so no righteous stabbing :/
Annoying sidekick Jonah left to go talk to his girlfriend he met previously in the little of town of Kuwaq Yaku , yeah looks like Peru is smaller than Lala thought so that you meet the same people everywhere you go ... , at least this allowed Lala to escape from more of Jonah's condescending and ridiculous dialogues.

But considering the mcguffin was very likely hidden around there, Lala was certain her enemies would come so it was just a question of time before the "great killing party" would start again.
Still waiting is hard for Lala, so she went exploring the surrounding in the hope she would run into something that can burn or be stabbed.

Yeah, she's like this.

Yeah, she's like this.
Five screens of Lala doing tomb raiding stuff instead of indulging her inner serial killer!
Among the most famous intros in all of gaming, being led to the headsman. As I always say, you don't play The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. You live another life in it.

Another valiant effort unto breach...

Despite my overwhelming sensation of success, I failed once more to deliver the package and defeat the final level of FTL.
Even on easy mode.

I journeyed with a hefty sum of scrap throughout my campaign.
Made many allies with newer and newer crewmates almost at each stop.

As soon as I had enough scrap I upgraded my shields the highest amount and boosted the energy in my ship and still I was met with
hordes of enemies boarding the ship while taking gunfire damage.

Relentless waves of attacks-the number of crew members didn't matter after a while. Even the shields did little to stop the onslaught of enemy
invasions.

Prior to my death I made a plan to play it safer and avoid conflict-yet I was unable to deflect the enemy's visceral attack schemes.

It was still on easy and I have had closer calls. I don't know how to get better at this game, as in this case I had to reset three times before getting a good flow.

It's quite the spectacle to see my efficient gameplay turn upside its head.

I tried again. I really did this time but I'm met with the empty void of space. The shrapnel of my vessel scattered in the echoes of space.
Leaving a far bigger imprint in my life than it did in the galaxy it lived on.

I myself will remember this moment in the event of a future victory.
