Sanc: Rise of the Tomb Raider

Lala Croft is on her way to the final McGuffin that would finally and hopefully put an end to the constant nagging of weirdo sidekick Jacob that believed he's captain wisdom or something with so many platitudes each time he tried to say something ...

But with how insanely dangerous that path to the end was , Lala finally understood why there were so few of those idiot tribesmen left despite their ancestors had settled there since ancient times : those guys insist in building extremely dangerous roads so it's no wonder most of them have died just trying to travel around.

Anyways, finally reaching the entrance of their "glorious" city in this icy underground, Lala finallymet with more ancient tribesmen, that all happened to be immortal cosplayers dressed like pseudo-byzantine troopers.

Oh well, after testing their "immortality" by killing most of them and understanding that their so called immortality only allowed them to respawn (proving that the world was indeed a videogame) some days after being killed, that was rather disappointing to Lala, but after clearing a way for herself she finally reached the city itself, the long desired McGuffin was there somewhere in the highest points of that icy city.

The end was close, but there were still people to be killed, ancient ruins to be burned down and a McGuffin to be retrieved !
Are you playing this at 640x360?
Total War Warhammer 3
Lizard Campaign
settings: The Dutch Way

While difficult to admit, flying through the environment with only the slightest hint of instability, now and then, at a certain degree of quality is only possible at a 2k resolution. 8000 euro's of machinery, and that's what you get!
Is it ignorance ?

Rise of the Tomb Raider

After leaving a trail of death and destruction behind her, it was time for Lala to do what she does best (after the killing and the burning down of course) : find ridiculously dangerous way to reach a location that would be easily reachable otherwise.

So some climbing very unsafe and fragile ice walls, jumping on arrows stuck on surfaces above crazy heights , all while some crazy bastards are throwing firey projectiles from ancient trebuchets .. basically just another day in a Croft life.

Fortunately after letting the competition dead on the ground, Lala finally battled a few nice epic boss battles in a row and as expected was victorious. It was now time to get to the final tower to see that endgame cutscene before going back to tomb raiding the still unexplored ones (the Baba Yaga one is fun) and then Lala will be able to see if Shadow of the Tomb Raider have more stuff to kill and burn down , but still with boring sidekick Jonah along.

All in all it was a very good adventure game, but i still prefered Tomb Raider 2013 for that "survivor trilogy"

As Sara stood before the imposing door, a chill ran down her spine. The air was thick with the weight of unspoken memories, echoes of a past she had tried to forget. Her heart raced as she hesitated, knowing that beyond this threshold lay the remnants of a nightmare she had faced before. The faint whispers of her team urged her on, but the dread of what awaited her was almost palpable.

With a deep breath, she reached for the handle, her fingers trembling. The door creaked open, revealing a darkened room filled with shadows and remnants of a battle long past. The sight was haunting, a stark reminder of the horrors they had encountered in Andromeda. Yet, amidst the fear, there was a flicker of determination. Sara knew she had to confront her past to forge a path forward.

As she stepped inside, the smoothness of the visuals at 90 fps enveloped her senses, making every movement feel fluid and immersive. The graphics were stunning, each detail sharp and vibrant, enhancing the tension of the moment. The adrenaline surged through her veins, and for a brief moment, the beauty of the world around her overshadowed the darkness she faced.

But the memories surged back, and she steeled herself for the confrontation ahead. Whatever lay in wait, she would face it head-on, armed with the strength of her team and the clarity that came with such breathtaking visuals. The door had opened, and there was no turning back now.

As Sara marveled at the developers' decision to revamp the skin suit armor in Andromeda, she couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement; the sleek new design, complete with vibrant LEDs, was not only more decent but also a testament to the evolution of their journey, making her feel ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

This War of Mine. Due to the sombre, realistic nature of its setting it seems almost wrong for me to call this a game, although that's certainly what it also is. Definitely a successful portrayal of some of the aspects and challenges of civillians' life during war. A fascinating title focussing on survival mechanics and resource management, with many tough choices, hard to stomach in places.

Kingdom Come Deliverance

What to do when you run into a group of several bandits pillaging the ruins of your village and notice they're all very well armored and armed (probably deserters from some random army) ?
Henry thought of using the usual strategy in such situation considering his current stats and equipment vs the amount of enemies at the same time : run away as far as he can.

But Henry was carrying a lots of arrows and noticed that one of the building roof was reachable with some accurate jumping from a small promontory nearby .

Perfect, only challenge after that was to deal with the bandit only archer, but this was managable as Henry wasn't bad with a bow.
Once the surprised archer got a couple of arrows in his head , the other bandits ran to Henry's building , taunting him , circling around like predators in front of their prey but unfortunately for them they were too stupid to understand the situation was now a game over for them bastards.

Henry obtained some rather good loot this day

I like reading your adventures, but if I may ask do you play all games on lowest settings including resolution? That is how the screenshots look like.

Chakyash: I like reading your adventures, but if I may ask do you play all games on lowest settings including resolution? That is how the screenshots look like.
I usually lower the settings of a game until it is running fully smoothly on my system, so "4K" visuals when playing a game is not something i care about as long as it's running smooth it's all that matters to me.
I like how detailed you guys describe the setting and mood of the games you guys are playing through. I get the impression that I'm looking into someone's diary...that's a really good idea to do.

4. picture: In the castle Henry made a peculiar find. He wondered whether this was an accident or just a joke...
