Matewis: Seeing as I'm massively in the mood for and desperately trying to avoid a D2 run with a necromancer (almost always took the barbarian), your posts aren't exactly helping :)
Have at it!!! And speaking of Barbarians, I need to create another one sometime.

Just got through the prison with my Amazon.

Yours looks a lot more crisp than mine. I'm running it with -3dfw in the target line like was suggested on Blizzard.

Bending space (and maybe time?) ... This one has been sitting in my backlog a while. After reading a mention of it on PC Gamer, I decided to give it a proper go. So far so fun. :)

That, along with the Palace in Act 2, is among my least-favorite areas in the game! I just got through it, as well, and I defeated NM Andariel shortly thereafter. Her quest drops weren't anything special, though.

What type of Amazon are you running? And are you on Bnet or SP?

227: Hitting early access on March 1, and it's really charming and good from what I've played. No idea if it's coming to GOG.
Looks pretty nice.

Bowazon.
I've won the game with a Sorceress, Assassin, and Necromancer but never gotten very far with an Amazon because early on they are so damn boring! :P You usually don't start seeing any class specific equipment for them until Act 3.
Ultima 3 Amiga; got this after my first battle on a new save.

I was *really* not expecting to get a pirate ship as my very first battle; normally, it can be a pain to hunt for such a ship.

(Notice that everyone here is still level 1.)

I've made 2-3 "Frost Maiden" Bowazons over the years, but they really struggled in Hell. Since I always play untwinked, I could never do enough damage after a while. I used whichever Exceptional Unique Bows/Crossbows I could find, as well as the Harmony runeword. Ultimately, though, my Freezing Arrows weren't making a big enough dent. I doubt I got past the Radament quest in Hell Act 2 for this reason. I've enjoyed far greater success with my past Fishymancers and Frenzy Barbarian.

At the early end-game in Mount & Blade. The sizes of battles can rise to four or five thousand troops involved but not quite there yet. I rush to defend a strategic castle against the Nords.

I "won" the first bout but the garrision was wiped out and what is left of me and my army were too wounded for me to to really go another round. I had to retreat for now and let them take the castle :-( which was easy enough when they were still over one thousand strong and there were only two soldiers left in the castle.

"I'll be back."

I had a lengthy, 4-hour session of Diablo 2 last night. After running NM Countess and Andariel one time each, I picked up where I left off in Act 2. I noticed that although I completed the Claw Viper quest, I'd forgotten to get the Lost City waypoint. I'm glad I took the time to find it, because a random Unique monster dropped a Ko rune - quite a rare and unexpected surprise! From there, I went through the Palace to reach the Arcane Sanctuary. Whereas I ended up exploring all four directions in Normal, I was fortunate to have reached the Summoner on my second try. At this point, I was ready to defeat Duriel and progress to Act 3...but I held back. I decided to clear four false tombs in hopes of gaining experience and treasure. I guess my dallying paid off, because on my final miscellaneous run, a Unique monster dropped Tal Rasha's Horadric Crest! My Level 55 Necromancer will need to gain ten more levels before he can wear it. And finally, NM Duriel was mostly a breeze.

I had no idea the Invasion game type existed in the base game. Glad I found it.

Here's a screenshot from a game I'm thinking of playing again. (You might notice something unusual about the screenshot, or at least something that indicates that I changed something.)

I would like somebody to comment on the post I made in the appropriate subforum, to give me some ideas for my character setup (in particular, which skills to choose).

I think i've had enough of vintage GP action lately, so i guess it's time for some modern stock car racing. Random pics from various practice sessions and mini races i've had during the weekend; full-fledged championship incoming. (NASCAR Racing 2003 Season)
