the.kuribo: Why can't you make your own (new) Steam account?

Also, though I'm glad you want to support GOG as I am a big believer in their stand on DRM-free titles, I would also recommend you check out the Humble Store as they have Super Meat Boy for sale and it's DRM-free plus a Steam key.

darkredshift: I could, but I never got round to it and I don't want to pay for all my games a second time, nor do I want to have to use file sharing to play them when it would be simpler to transfer the games and data between accounts which I don't think Steam is capable of doing.

To go a bit off topic but not so much as to incur the wrath of the GOG forum moderators, the constant explodie deaths in Super Meat Boy alongside the giant saws, fire and salt heaps make this a good game to play right before a barbecue. ;)
You can easily install a game on multiple computers using Steam. Just install Steam client on the computer and log into your account and install the game. Simple as that. You can only _play_ the games on one computer at a time, but you can certainly install the game on multiple computers. Some games there are DRM-free as well and may be able to be played simultaneously on multiple computers.

It's also possible with some if not all games to make backups to copy to another computer offline instead of having to re-download/install although I haven't experimented with that feature.

It's not as flexible as DRM-free games on GOG per se, but it can be done.

tfishell: Last I heard on the subject was this (back in October), and not good news sadly: https://twitter.com/TommyRefenes/status/525760200288894976
Bah, that's a shame. I had hopes to see it here eventually.
Never had the chance to play it myself although I'm still playing a similar one called They Bleed Pixels. It would be great to see that one here as well. Top-notch hardcore platformer. You can vote here: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/they_bleed_pixels

And you still might. He said there were no plans to release it on GOG "at this time" which was October 24th, 2014. Who knows what the future holds. I feel like if someone from GOG were to contract Team Meat directly and minimize their legwork to bring the game here, they would be more willing.

I now have the disk version for PC which links to my Steam account. Regarding the keyboard RSI warnings during the game's opening credits, Is Super Meat Boy PC compatible with Xbox One controllers or just Xbox 360 ones? I'm asking as a don't have a wired 360 controller but I have a One controller with a charge and play cable. I thought that could help but I don't know if it's compatible with the game or not.
my sister long ago picked up from walmart a jewel case of super meat boy that did not need steam or internet connection.
I know for a fact long ago it was DRM free and all those vanished and now its steam only for some reason.
It appears to still be DRM free on the Humble Store...

Any ideas regarding the question? The PC version requires an Xbox controller to avoid RSI but I don't have a wired 360 controller. I do have a wired Xbox One controller though. Can PC super meat boy support Xbox one controllers or can it only support Xbox 360?

It can support pretty much any xbox controller, I used a logitech f310 game pad back in the day for it so it should work with the official stuff.

JMich: Moderators? We have moderators here?

Potzato: I am currently investigating the hypothesis that GoG forum is moderated by chupacabras. They don't ban, they suck out your blood ; provided you look like a goat.
So that is where all those new fet life followers came from.
On the subject of goats and Chupacabras, or similar animals and their predators (the eating the flesh kind), "how many PETA employees does it take to change a lightbulb? none, because PETA can't change shit." Bandage Girl, SMB> manual.

Thanks for your help. My One controller with charge and play adaption should suffice.
