undeadcow: Sunless Sea looks epic and I'm considering a Humble Store purchase to lock in early adopter bonus. I'd really love to see GOG put Sunless Sea up for "preorder" with an "all future DLC" bonus matching other storefronts.
I saw the early access bonus listed in one of the top posts (all future DLC / expansions I think?) and if the price were right I'd certainly jump on this if GoG could work something out for a preorder.

I'm sure a ton of people would flip out though and such things are a narrow line to walk. However I think in this case (for me at least) it'd be worth it as I like the look of the game!

Well I got my answer and sadly it's not planed to give GoG key to those who bought the game through the Humble Store... I expected as much but it was worth a try :)

That I don't know. I HOPE so, as it's always nice, and I've seen a couple of very nice release discounts lately (Lords of Xulima for example). So fingers crossed.

It's showing up on my wishlist for $18.99. I know that is the pre-release price and that the actual price is supposed to be higher than that. Hopefully it's an indicator that the game will be on sale when released.

It was in sale on Steam a few weeks ago for about €12, so expect to see it on sale if not at release, soon afterwards I would say.

My understanding is that permadeath can be disabled. Don't exactly know the specifics since I don't have early access.

You can choose to save whenever you are docked. If you do the game permanently changes to merciful mode and can no longer earn what is essentially an 'ironman' badge. You then have a normal savegame system.
