So, 6 months to release 2 games, another 3 more for the remaining endless?, At least it´s not DOW wait levels.
But it's time to start hyping the next Sega games in the pipeline, GOG. There are alot of them i would add to my collection here.
I have a special place for PDS, but i know i'd have a better chance getting struck by lightning, and it could never live up to the nostalgia of the original saturn release.
Awesome to see more Sega stuff! Endless Space 2 is one of the best 4X games I've played because it's simple enough to easily learn but has enough complexity to keep you coming back. If I didn't just buy the Yakuza bundle, I'd definitely grab both of these. Thanks GOG and thanks Sega, hopefully this is the start of a massive campaign of bringing Sega titles to the DRM-free market. Hopefully the Shenmue 1+2 bundle will be next; I already have Shenmue 3 deluxe on GOG so it'd be awesome to complete the collection!

P-E-S: Nope, just the standard random galaxy generator. If there is a space-4X with any real campaign I have yet to come across one. It's always about empire-building in some generated galaxy/universe.
Oh, bummer. So "Lead one of eight civilizations, each with a unique playstyle affinity and story quest" is misleading... And also the descriptions of Celestial Worlds, Dark Matter and Untold Tales?
Thank you Sega bringing Endless Space 1+2 (DRM-free) to GOG!
A question to owners of ES2 on GOG: does it have a DRM-free multiplayer that doesn't require Galaxy client? I know it's very doubtful, but it worth to ask anyway.

Appears to require Galaxy, unfortunately.

GOG, this really needs to be stated on a games page.
Yeah, just had a good ES2 session that ended up with smug Horatio wiping the floor with me. Yup, the sequel is a huge improvement over ES1 in pretty much all aspects. It still boggles my mind how decidedly janky, unintuitive, and not so fun the original felt.

Well, sure those quests have some flavor texts but they all seem to boil down to A) pick one of two options (some with bonuses and negatives attached), B) meet a certain goal to get a bonus, or C) a mixture of both. There really is no coherent story here.

For what it's worth, I installed the offline installer for Endless Space (the first game), and all the netplay options are greyed out in the menus.

Multi-Player is listed as a feature on the store page for both games in the series, so I'd imagine it works with Galaxy installed, but it would be good to get confirmation from a Galaxy user.

Thanks for Beholder 2!
Does ES2 have the G2G DLC? It is one of the things that determine whether I spring for GOG's release.

edit: Never mind . I found out you are talking about this : https://community.amplitude-studios.com/amplitude-studios/endless-space-2/forums/73-tech-support/threads/38851-unable-to-re-activate-the-g2g-content-for-endless-space-2

Hi! Did anyone find a way to change the language of the game? I've chosen "french" in the installer but the game is still in english. I can't find any language option in-game and there's no language selector in the game files. Thanks for your help ;)

Je n'ai pas le jeu sous les yeux, mais il y a un sous-dossier nommé french (faites une recherche).

Il suffit de faire un copier/coller de l'intégralité du contenu du dossier French vers le dossier English.

J'ai informé GOG du problème.

I don't have the game in front of me, but there's a sub-folder called French (do a search).

Just copy/paste the entire contents of the French folder into the English folder.

I've informed GOG of the problem.

Thanks! I will try that and wait for GOG's answer! ( merci beaucoup ;))
As someone explained in a review of the game (and I can confirm for the offline installer), in Endless Space 2 you can't change your name when you launch a new game : it always reverts back to "DefaultPlayerName".
Does anyone has a solution to this ?
