i_hope_you_rot: Thank you .

May i ask why The Suffering has a lower discount ( 50% off ) than its sequel ( 75% off ) ?
avatar
mobutu: +1, I'd like to know that too.
Thanks
Because I think most Suffering fans consider the original better then the sequel. Look at the comments on the second here, people are saying it's not as good.
Ra you will definitely see them sooner rather than later. Those games are old enough so I think it's only a matter of time.

GOG.com: Ubisoft games join the Summer Sale Festival
Shouldn't there be links to one or more Ubisoft games on that announcement page, like usual on announcement pages? I don't see any links there, nor any mention of "Ubisoft" on the front page.

(In case it's only me: I'm using Galaxy)

Searching on "Ubisoft" seems to work ok, but people casually browsing will not do that; it's an unnecessary barrier to sales.

DSLevantine: ubisoft? I hope child of light will be available
I really doubt it, since it's only 5 years old (and very popular). They seem to only sell their older games here. As far as I can see, their most recent game on Gog is 2010: "Anno 1404".

I'll second Sarang's theory.
Quit the nosense, Ties That Bind is better game in story, enemies and weapons, levels (also finished FPP mode), not necessary better continuation of a game that started as merely prototype and rival to Silent Hill. It's like Fight Club, you don't talk about it yet everyone knows the Blackmore. ;-)

So you say the second game is better ?

In combat, progress and story, not necessary in atmosphere of seclusion. Second game is better in not holding ever back, scenes depicted as gruesome, the pain, suffering and death around you is not left behind the scenes but more in your face to make you feel like trash, your fault and point to give up. Even moral choices are more emotional by context, not by better graphics. You do really feel like predator preying on innocents or animal hunted trying to make difference. First game tries to scare you and immerse but most of these are lost turning into shooter and survival to progress through maps to the later sections, you can save innocents or kill them but most of the time there is not clear distinction of right and wrong, only choose your action. In sequel you do feel for them and decide your and theirs fate. Not to mention different attacks, beasts and bosses based on the path. Go mindless or be good, in second you need to think, even Evil run is more refined so you shouldn't kill all npcs the first chance you get them, everything counts towards outcome.
Still hoping to see Rayman Legends,Assassin Creed Series and child of light one day on GOG.
Oh, Cold Fear is another game that'd be nice to have. And Silent Hunter(s) and Sum of All Fears and so on.

Cold fear is fine enough on PS2, but I guess it'd be nice to have here as well.

I mean it's not a fantastic game but I had fun with it when I played it in the early 2010s (don't remember exactly when). Plus it's already on Steam so in theory it wouldn't be too hard to bring.

I loved(from the bit I played) all the russian/etc signs on the ship/ets and the people talking in russian/etc...it added believeability to it, imo. I also liked the plot/setting(rescue people board a ship filled with creatures/etc).

But yeah, it'd be nice to have here as well.

I'd love to see Cold Fear here. Works good now on Windows 10. Amazon was selling DRM-free version, so i don't see any reason not to be released here. One of the best survival horror games, would be great addition to GOG catalog.
