JudasIscariot: Lucius has been updated to the latest possible version. It is now at version 1.043 Hotfix and includes all of the previous updates along with support for French (text only, Hungarian (text only, and Simplified Chinese (text only).
Errr... can you please check the download links and/or the file repos? Cannot download the installers and all I get is a blank page.

kbnrylaec: GOG have stolen my Softporn Adventure for one week, and GOG Support is totally useless (Ticket #222643).
It's being worked and the issue has been reported. Your patience in this matter will be greatly appreciated :) As of right now, I do not have an ETA as to when the issue wlll be fixed but we are well aware of the problem and the game will be returned to your account as well to those users whose accounts have been affected by this issue.

Thanks!

thanks for the response on the softporn issue as it's affecting me as well! *thumbs up*
Sheltered and Kingdom: New Lands have both been updated to be current. Don't think they actually made the list but they were awfully close.
avatar
PaterAlf: Sheltered finally got the missing updates and is on par with the Steam version again.
avatar
muntdefems: Only the Windows and Mac builds, though. :\
That's being looked into, hopefully it will be resolved tomorrow, sorry for the inconvenience :)

Thanks for the heads up! :D
BLACKHOLE still hasn't gotten the 1.9 update even though the dev said they were trying to bring it to GOG nearly 2 months ago (which was already released on Steam long before that). At this point I think it may be time to add it to the list until they actually add it. GOG version is currently 1.7.1(A).

Could you please prod Capcom about Dragon's Dogma? The version here on gog is missing two bugfix updates for months. If Capcom is not going to fully support their paying gog customers, then they shouldn't bother releasing anything here at all.

"publicly name and shame". is this really the way to attract developers and publishers to support gog? gog itself should be ashamed. it keeps adding features nobody asked for and as a result, breaks simple features like library consistency, honest game updates and installer quality. these are the most basic features gog has but it has broken every single stage of the game preparation process. instead we have "overlay" and "cloud saves" and "galaxy" and "installer update". all the while i'm reading in the subforums where people are having issues with cloud saves and galaxy. i hate you gog. i never used to. :(

timmy010: "publicly name and shame". is this really the way to attract developers and publishers to support gog?
It is to attract them to support their GOG versions properly, no "fire and forget"-releases. You could just as well say that user reviews (of games) should be disabled because they publicly name and shame certain games and their developers.

Also this is a good checklist for us customers, in order to see that we don't accidentally buy games that are known to be abandoned.

Last but not least, this should be also good input to GOG staff, for games that they should really concentrate on (getting missing updated from the publishers). It is not to the best interest of GOG itself either that their version is e.g. buggy and not maintained, but many times GOG might not be even aware that is the case. This list should guarantee that GOG staff is aware, so this is also a service towards GOG staff.

If some publisher goes "Oh, we will end up on a wall of shame if we don't provide updates to the GOG version? Forget it then, no GOG version!"... that is probably for the best of the potential GOG customers too, not accidentally buying games that the publisher possibly has no intention to support on GOG.

Grargar: I personally think you should stay away from this, if for no other reason that it would drive you insane having to check each game for different price points across the regions supported by both Steam and GOG. Not to mention that prices might suddenly change across either store, making said information potentially outdated.
avatar
Lucian_Galca: I agree. Just stick to missing bug fixes and features.
I agree too, but now that some are complaining of GOG versions missing "Galaxy-features" (like achievements, possibly cloud saves...)... should such games be added to the list too? E.g. the Steam version has achievements while the GOG (Galaxy) version doesn't?

I personally say no, but someone who cares for Galaxy features might feel differently. Not quite black and white.

I'm gonna call it right now and say GoG will NOT be getting the remastered versions of Tomb Raider 1,2 and 3 for free if you own the originals.

https://twitter.com/realtech_VR/status/969244573120724992?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

TR1-3 remaster for PC are planned for Steam for free and will requires the purchase of the DOS version being sold on Steam (like ZDoom playing Doom games). Also the PC version will supports OpenVR and features a new 3D engine for both 3 games.
[EDIT] Reading the Twitter stream further it seems they will at least make an effort to try to put it on GoG. Here's hoping.
