haydenaurion: Jeez, I think it's time to add it to the list along with the second one maybe.

Game
Switched back to the old compilier due to issues that came up in attempting to use a newer compiler. People experiencing video issues that were previously fine should be back to normal.
Several tweaks and adjustments to achievements.

This build is better than the previous build.

Grargar: Meanwhile, the latest GOG version is actually GOG-10 and not GOG-9 as the changelog indicates. In general, Xseed is a bit notorious for not always providing changelogs for Trails in the Sky. There are even some complaints about that on Steam.
So are the gog versions up to date?

In theory, yes (at least for the first game). The GOG-10 version was released on March 9, 2016, 3 months after the "Better build" Steam update. In practice? Who knows. Maybe it is, maybe it's not. It can be difficult to know when the publisher isn't always providing a changelog.

Ah, I see.

I wonder about the second game though: https://www.gog.com/forum/the_legend_of_heroes_trails_in_the_sky_series/the_legend_of_heroes_trails_in_the_sky_sc_tita_doesnt_learn_her_cannon_impulse_f_bug
No idea about that one. There are literally zero changelogs on Steam about the second game.

Not quite in Caesar III manual territory but it does give the impression somebody was pretty fed up.

Though it's in her league to just call it a better build. Better why, beats me.

PookaMustard: I'm not sure if this update fixes the issue mentioned in the GOGmix, something to do with command prompt interfaces.
avatar
Grargar: That's exactly the issue that has been fixed. Previously, if you used a gamepad, all command prompts (context-sensitive or otherwise) would show up as black boxes, instead of the correspnding buttons.

Edit: On second thought, I should have actually said button prompts.
strange thing... i mean, i purchased Darksiders 2 on gog before the deathinitive edition... my gog version had no problem showing me appropriate icon prompts for my X360 controller

but if i understood correctly, the deathinitive edition completely "replaced" the older edition frorm gog catalog and new buyers only get this one and cant even purchase the old one ?
in my library though, i got 2 entries for darksiders 2, one for each edition (seems i was "granted" the crappy buggy version for free as i purchased the working one before...)

The original version of Darksiders 2 never had this issue; the Deathinitive Edition did, but it has now been fixed after a whole year.

The Deathinitive Edition replaced the old one only in the catalog. People who bought the original version before its removal can still download it.
so i did understand correctly about it... thank you for the confirmation Grargar

it's a shame that those who purchase NOW the deathinitive edition were not granted the old one in their librairy too, at least as long as deathinitive one specific issues were not fixed up

GOG, when you replace a working thing by a broken one, you should let people access to both

It's probably up to Nordic THQ than it is up to GoG. That being said has anyone actually attempted to contact Nordic about making the original an extra goodie in the Deathinitive edition?

The original version was also removed from Steam, so it looks like it was the publisher's choice.

Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty! is out of date, 1.06 & 1.07 patch was released in February on Steam.

Offworld Trading Company:
No custom lobbies on GOG.
Not coming later either.

Holy shit!

From the game card:
"Experience New Adventure in Multiplayer [...] Turn your friends into frenemies! With a robust and exciting multiplayer mode that can support up to eight players"
"The GOG Galaxy client is required to access multiplayer."

From the release blurb:
"Want to share the love? Make sure to grab the game until December 1st, 1:59 PM UTC to secure an extra copy for a friend and dive into the multiplayer together!"

From the release thread:
"Ok the devs let me know that the gog version does not have and won't have the whole multiplayer side implemented."

ClusterTruck flashback! GOG curation at its finest! 10/10, A+++++++++++, would buy again!

On a more light-hearted note: Should I go ahead and include all eleventy bajillion DLCs for Offworld Trading Company in the mix as well? Are there any DLCs that are explicitly affected by those missing features?
