It always is to my mind anti-consumer when publishers remove a game without any kind of final sale.

It doesn't have to be 90 percent off, but at least the lowest price so far would be nice. Or even just the normal 50 percent off sale.

No sale, no sell.

don't be redunculous. I've read the news, basically it's a Netflix gaming exclusive now.

they don't want to "sell it". They want you to pay a subscription to play it.

Why would it be next?
avatar
DiffuseReflection: Dear GOG staff,
could we have an earlier advance notice to prepare for delistings? On this short notice, it is likely that some interested people will not notice the removal before it is too late, or otherwise cannot buy the game before it is too late.
I sympathize but given how these things go on other stores we're lucky we get any warning at all.

That game is from the same publisher BonusXP, and both are based on Netflix series. However, we don't know the reason why this game is being delisted, it could also be something specific to it.

Maybe because this:

SmollestLight: We'd like to inform you that on the publisher's request, Stranger Things 3: The Game will be delisted from our catalog on Tuesday, August 31st, 3 PM UTC.

Those who already own the game, or will purchase it before its removal, will still be able to access it through their GOG.COM Library.
Nice touch to integrate this heads up into your latest email (regarding the end of the Games Festival).
I probably would have missed it otherwise.
The "sticky" section isn't really the best place for these kind of posts - at least not in the way it's done right now.
I default to assuming delistings are because of low sales, but I could be wrong :p

Netflix is offering its own gaming service now, actually...
This should be interesting. Seeing as they are losing subscribers with their full on Woke movies and television series.

Sucks that these subscription platforms are a craze these days, Yet all they seem to be releasing is garbage. Netflix has destroyed many good old franchises for the sake of this Woke generation. Not to forget their cheap-ass anime releases.

You could just open and close the other stickies, so they'll be marked as read, then any new sticky will be more visible. That's how I do it and I haven''t missed any delisting thread since they became stickies.

The game has gone poof not only on GOG, but also on Steam and Epic. It's still available on consoles, for the time being.
