I upgraded to Windows 10 on my laptop and everything seems to being working fine. However, when I turn on after a shut down, it simply won't connect to my network. It detects all the available networks but won't connect to mine. If I then restart, it connects to my network just fine. This happens every time after a shut down.

It's an Intel WiFi adapter if that helps. Can anyone help please?

I know i've had problems with a wifi router not wanting to connect UNLESS it's recently been restarted.

Strange. This could be a Windows 10 or a driver issue. Are there any Windows updates you haven't installed yet? If this doesn't fix it I would recommend you to see if there is a newer driver for your Intel WiFi adapter for Windows 10. The default drivers you get with a Windows installation are not always the optimal ones.
Also if you install your manufacturer's drivers, disable auto-update for them using this
Every news shatters my hopes for Win10 :'(

Nope, I've installed all the Windows updates so far. I just ran the Intel Driver Update Utility and apparently, there are no newer drivers for Windows 10, atleast not yet. I guess I have to live with it for now.

You could try out drivers for Windows 8 too (but it isn't sure if the installation will work) or wait for some newer drivers for Windows 10.
Same issue, WiFi is incredibly unstable. I did find that going through the old device manager to find a new driver did update it to a driver that was very recent, but it has not fixed the problem. It seems that it is happening only while on battery, so it may be some poorly implemented power-saving feature getting in the way, but I have yet to find a setting that will allow me to confirm it.
You need to wait until Intel addresses that issue (let's hope they don't make another Cedar Trail...), for now they are probably focusing on fixing the G3258 fiasco on Windows 10.
Well, it seems I have found a solution. I went to Control Panel then Power Options then clicked "choose what the power buttons do" on the left. Then at the bottom under "Shutdown settings", I unticked "Turn on fast startup". Those options were actually grayed out for me so I had to click "Change settings that are currently unavailable" near the top.

Turning off fast start up seems to have solved the problem. Every time I turn on after a shut down now, my WiFi works fine. I hope this helps anyone else with a similar problem.
