Not enough time in your schedule to fit everything you'd like to do, yet you still want to be able to find your next favorite game to relax for a while? Today is the day it can finally happen!

Back in October, first users were able to experience the new & improved game catalog on GOG as we've started slowly rolling it out. After testing its performance and gathering feedback, we're ready to unleash it to everyone, starting right now!

We understand that among the more than 5500 titles in the catalog, searching for the game that fits your current needs or discovering the gems that will defy your expectations can be a time-consuming hassle. So thanks to the new catalog you can carry out more customized searches, adding ways to sort and filter games via price range, genres, release date range, and a newly introduced tags system.

The release of the new catalog on GOG doesn't mean we're stopping here. We will be improving it further – yes, sorting by "all-time bestsellers" is coming! And hey, do you have a very specific need, some particular accessibility request, or do you just want to help us help you? Let us know how you like the new catalog in the comments, and share your ideas for what we could bring along.

Breja: "Hide porn and anime".
You can basically solve this by buying them all and hiding owned games.

You are welcome.
Not sure if it's a bug or feature but when I use multiple filters:

i.e.

- Co-op
- Controller support

I get results back that don't fit this filter criteria. One of the results I got was The witcher 2, which is not a co-op game at all, but does have controller support. Did I break something?

I forgot about one thing. I'd also like to have superior version marked os owned when I have standard version and all extras/dlcs
Nice! This is definitely good to have. Are you planning to add the option to exclude things as well (like, hiding one or more categories)? There are lots of nice suggestions in the comments as well, so hopefully you have the chance to implement some of them.
Overall looks like a good improvement, and thank you for bringing "best all-time" sorting in the future.

Maybe as a suggestion a "sort alphabetically by publisher" for those wanting to know how many games a publisher has in the store?

Soon™ ;P
Looks very nice ....

Hide games we do not want to see / will never buy would be a nice addition... i use it alot on Steam ( they have tons of games i would never buy) they show up dark ( unless steam changed it in the last update)

Hide by developer would be nice , Steam still hasnt done this ( unless i missed an update i hope an is used correctly :D)

SnowRelic: Nice, should have been done quite some time ago.

What I'd also very much like is an extension to the wishlist; the ability to list games not available on the store, so that when they do turn up on the store I can get an immediate notification should they ever become available.

Think of things like Dune II, No One Lives Forever, Wheel of Time (game on the unreal engine), Dreamweb.
Dune 2 , theDUNE 2000 would also be nice to have, i cant get the old 16 bit to work, all the so called patches they made and can be found on sites dont work,: finally : command & conquer would be nice to have working ( without extreme cpu usage ( fallout classics seems to have it ).

RA1 , RA2 and a working version of the dos cnc ( there is a hd remake but i prefer old games , and the later games turned into ugly 3d)
Anyway it would be nice if i could play them once again :D
Information blurb is back, I hope.

So am I finally fired?
:D
Nice. Now that it can sort by discount percentage and filter by price and owned status, I'm left torn on whether it's worth it to update my GOG Sale Helper userscript to make it compatible with this.

(I may still. I'm kind of used to being able to scan across a sea of red and green badges to do "Cheap enough to be appealing, despite the low discount" and "High enough discount to be appealing, despite the high price" in one pass.)

I would like to see a similar Sort like the 'Date Added to the catalog' from the old shop. As far as I can tell, there's no clear way to see the most recent additions to the catalog, sorting by Release Date (Newest) doesn't help in this case when games arrive on GOG months/years later than the listed release date.
The 'New Arrivals' filter seems close to what I'm looking for, but doesn't seem to be in actual release order? Sorting by Release Date (Newest) with that filter still sorts the results all over the place with recent games near the bottom.

SCPM: ...
And this "new arrivals" option is not actually a sort method, but it work like a filter – showing only one page of results (the newest releases). It does not show even the last week additions...

I think "Demos" should be a separate category from "Free games" (those being actual full games).
It is already implied that a demo is free.
Did they remove the all-time ranking?
