I think company leaders don't really look at forums, and bad PR is more of a standard with most video game companies than the exception.
That said, you could just tell your PC Games-playing friends that they should consider purchasing DRM-free games instead of DRM-filled games. It's a bit of a challenge since it sounds like you are selling a religion sometimes, but sometimes it's as easy as telling your friend "Oh, I purchased it on GOG, not on Steam. Why? Oh, I just like how every game I buy on GOG works better than Steam, so that's why I decided to stick with that :)"
But remember, the more you try to convince people forcefully, the more people will ignore you and keep buying things on Steam just to spite you. If we get to the point where there are 'GOG fanboys' and 'Steam fanboys', nobody will move from one camp to the other and it'll be what most would call a 'shitshow' :D
