Azrael360: Just a reminder for everybody: A simple word of courtesy after receiving a favor, a gift, or anything else, it means a lot for anyone, and it doesn't cost you anything.
Yeah, I know how you feel, but some people are like that, you can't do anything about that. If it makes you a little bit more happy, I'll say thanks instead of him/her - Thank you. ;)

Very true! +1

I found that using contributor value for entry helps to weed out some of the less considerate people ( sadly you're going to end up excluding some very nice people as well through). I highly recommend it for any public giveaways ;)

teshra: Found another game in a key cleanup I won't be redeeming so my loss is your gain. Same deal as the one above (sorry for the spam).

Red Faction Guerilla

Will be a Steam key thru Steam chat.
Ends 4:30 EST Monday afternoon (2/25) so if you can be online thereabouts, please do.

Good luck!
Just received the game! Many thanks for your kindness!

No problem sir. You'll have to let me know how it is as those kinds of games really aren't my thing so I don't know if I'm even missing out on anything.

One down, one to go...Still waiting for the winner of Warhammer to come online.

THank you +1 - not entering as I have it.
Hey guys, I need some advice. I sent a key to the winner of a giveaway a little over two days ago, but I have not heard back yet. Their profile has shown they've logged into Steamgifts a few times during the past couple days. I double checked the email address, and it's okay. Sent another message recently to see if they got the game, but when I check their Steam profile it doesn't appear they've redeemed the game (it's not in their list of games, but I don't know if that updates regularly).

I guess if I don't hear back by a certain time I should do a reroll. But I'd have to be sure the key hasn't been redeemed. How much longer should I wait? I think SG says 7 days, but do you have any advice for how to get a hold of them? I thought to add them as a friend on Steam and contact them that way, but it appears they haven't logged into Steam for 4+ days either.

I guess you can try adding them on Steam and see if you can talk to them that way, if they don't accept and after 7 days I would get a hold of Steamgifts and tell them you sent the key but they have not clicked and said that they got it and the most they can do is do it for the person who won it that way you get the credit for giving away the game.

I'm a newbie at this, I have made only 6 giveaways and been registered for only 2 weeks there, but I was starting to think this could happen someday, because the system seems to be very protective with the participants but not with the gifters, they have to just forget to mark the "gift received" spot and you'll end with one "gift not received" in your profile, even if you did.

If the winner has been logged during this time in the SteamGifts page, I would think he/she already knows he is a winner. What I would do in your position is to contact the SteamGifts admins just in case. I don't really know how the "Re-Roll" works, I don't know if you can automatically see a new winner, or it has to be approved first by the admins. In that case, all I know is if after 7 days the winner don't receive the gift, the gift is marked as "not received" (I could be wrong). So I would not wait that long, just in case, to contact the admins for instructions.

Is by the way, the winner from GOG.com? Maybe we can contact him/her through here too...

I'm really not sure. The SG FAQ says winners and gifters have 7 days to complete the process. But if those 7 days expire, do I miss the chance to reroll and end up with an undelivered gift in my profile? I don't want that to happen, as I clearly sent the game key.

Really unsure as how to proceed. The winner has logged into SG at least once per day since winning, so I'm not sure why they haven't redeemed the game or marked it as received. :/

Yea, it was a GOG gift club giveaway, so they should be a member here, but I don't recognize the username. Not sure if I should post their SG/Steam name.

I've been posting the winners here, as an extra notification, in case he/she could see it here first. So in your position, I would post the winner's name. But if you are not sure, I would contact the SteamGifts support for help before 7 days have passed, becaue for what I have read, after 7 days the process ends and could be marked as "gift not received".
