Many people probably heard about the popular game Playerunknown Battlegrounds, but not many know that this game is insanely popular in China and it's the reason why it will hit 20 million copies soon.

Millions of new Chinese players have flooded Steam in the last few months, and it is interesting to see the sudden change in Steam statistics during the last few months:
http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey
56% of surveyed Steam users now use Chinese as main language, compared to just 21% English !!!
It seems Windows 7 is insanely popular in China, it now has 63% users, compared to Windows 10 at just 28%.
Nvidia and Intel are much more popular than AMD in China, the percentage of Steam users with AMD CPUs and GPUs fell dramatically.
Also it seems Chinese players have better computers than the average Steam user had (China is heavily PC focused, there was a ban on foreign consoles for a long time):
- there is a significant rise in the number of 4 core CPUs
- many more PCs with 8GB of memory
- increase in percentage of processors with higher clock speeds
- increase in hard disk storage
- number of users with 1080p monitors has increased
