truhlik: m waiting for 75 % discount on Morrowind. But don't believe that this year 's be so much high.
It's sad that Bethessa doesn't have their games here:(
Try gamesplanet.de A couple of months ago pit Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas at 3.40€ (complete editions).

With skyrim was 3.40 the regular version, not legendary.

Gearmos: Arx Fatalis is 50% off on Steam, but I want GOG's DRM-Free version. Come on GOG, I want it on 2015 DRM-FREE SUMMER SALE. :-)

By the way, Steam version has 5 languages and GOG's version has only English... :-/ That's not cool GOG!
I'm thinking on buying it on Steam, i rather GOG, but money is money, and there are 5 languages in the Steam version (vs 1 in GOG version).

My brother (Papitomirey) is thinking the same as me in this case.

ShadowAngel.207: Same with Sam & Max where the german voice over is atrocious with some very bad casting choises (Max has the german voice of Bart Simpson which just doesn't fit at all)

jamyskis: That horrendous intonation of "Freunde? Freunde?" still echoes in my head to this day. It sounded like the voice actor didn't want to wake the neighbours in the dubbing studio.
It's always a bit funny (or annoying, depending on the game and the mood) when that happens. I recently completed Profiles of the Forgotten, a "interactive movie" game and one scene fits this scenario. The scene was filmed on what appears to be a public beach, in this scene a character is supposed to be having a breakdown complete with saying and screaming maniacal things, and the actor is using his best "scream but not loud enough for anybody to hear" voice, rather hilarious for all the wrong reasons. It's made even better by his use of the classic "flail around mildly wildly but stay down close to the ground so nobody can see" technique.
I'll most likely get some of the games which GOG currently doesn't have, I despise DRM but sometimes it can't be helped.

That's a matter of taste. Me and many others think Sandra Schwittau was great as Max.

Good luck convincing Arkane to update their deal with GOG to bring more languages, now that Zenimax has purchased them.

That was Kristin Dodt, former head of marketing of Rainbow Arts (?) and not a professional voice actress. She recorded her lines for the intro of the floppy disk version and unfortunately there was no change for the CD release. (The roles of Sam and Max were replaced with professional actors.)

I actually liked the German voiceovers for Sam & Max. Sure, translations always change the original and in many cases the changes are for the worse. But I still enjoyed the voices a lot, and to this day l laugh about the translation of the bland "whack-a-rat" to the hilariously wacky "Bratz-das-Vieh-Spiel". :D

The German translation of Simpsons and Futurama and the intonation of some phrases in them are often subpar, too, they also change quite a bit of the tone, and of course it's also a matter of accustoming, but I do love those voiceactors so much that the originals sometimes sound boring in comparison ...

Not sure if there's any truth behind it but someone said that because GTA V on this sale is packaged with an ingame item, it may actually not be refundable...

That would be worse than a price hike imo.
Sigh. Why this thread? Can't Steam-users talk about Steam sale on Steam forums?

At least the last couple of years it was more to keep the steam sales thing from flooding the Gaming Deals thread. So if you hadn't bothered coming into the thread, it would've bothered you less than if the thread hadn't been there.
