KiNgBrAdLeY7: Darksiders series there was 7 euros cheaper than the package here

mobutu: cases of rental being cheaper, nothing new.
Well in the Metro there is a second game available on Steam and both have Linux verisons. So a bit more different than just the price.
The only thing I wanted from Steam was Homeworld for 10€ or less. So far no luck.

The only thing I'm really looking at is Ryse, and it'll have to be sub-€10 for me to be remotely interested.

Other than that, Steam has essentially become not just a nuisance but superfluous to me. I get my indies off GOG (and very few worthwhile indies are Steam-exclusive nowadays), and my AAA titles on PS4 (with the exception of Witcher 3, for which I'm still undecided whether to buy PS4 or PC).

So Steam really has little purpose except for the Indie Gala and Bundle Stars keys now.
I've got $1.50 in trading card money and am only using that for this sale. Any suggestions for what game I should pick up with that high roller dough?

I picked up Don't Starve Soundtrack for $1.24. (My only purchase in this sale until now)
With spending a huge amount on GOG, I think I'll skip this year's summer sale... I have enough games and the ones I want (Alien Isolation, X-Rebirth) are not that cheap...

You are correct, I didn't mention those because I'm sure GOG will get 2033 and the linux versions also. It's just a matter of time.

phaolo: Do you mean that GOG won 1-0 vs Steam? :D
3-0 ;)
I've got the following games to buy, could anyone tell me whether I should get them now, or will they appear cheaper? This is my first steam sale, so I'm not too familiar with them. Is it better to wait till last day?

Max Payne 3: (19.99 to 5.99) -70%
Serious Sam 3: (36.99 to 5.54) -85%
Alice Madness Returns: (9.99 to 4.99) -50%
Portal 2: (19.99 to 4.99) -75%
Duke Nukem Forever: (35.95 to 6.47) -82%

(all prices in euro)

Thanks!

MP3 - It goes at 80% discount quite regularly, wait.
SS3 - I came across 90% a few times so wait on this.
Portal 2 - Probably get, I don't remember seeing it go below that.

ZFR: Max Payne 3
You may want to skip that one. I got MP3 in the last Christmas sale and like many others I've never gotten to actually play the damn thing since at some point Rockstar's idiotic social club authentication bugged out - as in can't connect so you can't even play singleplayer - and they never bothered to fix it.

If it's NOT Flash Deals, Daily Deals or Community Deals, BUY it at the last day.

It's the golden rule of Steam sales.

HeDanny: C'mooooon Capcom! Deep Discounts on Resident Evil games PLEASE! :D

Minerva's Den finally on Sale..for more than I purchased the main game. URGH. Still, I've waited to long. Even my patience has its limits, so if it doesn't go deeper discount by the end of the sale I'll purchase it so I can finally play the Bioshock Trilogy complete.

I will be watching for Borderlands franchise as well. I already put over a thousand hours into just the first two games on xbox, but if I can pick them up for under a tenner (not unreasonable I think) I'll probably grab those. If that happens (big "if" right there), I expect my fellow GOGlodytes to help me power level! Volunteers? :)
For Resident Evil Revelations 1, 5 and 6, it will be 75% off most likely like it has always been.

The rest most likely goes for 50% off max.

I suggest you take a look at when the discounts expire. If they do at the end of the sale (22 June), wait it out in case they become cheaper. If one of them does, it will more than probably be a limited deal, which you should grab as soon as possible.
Skyrim Legendary Edition 18€? Pass. I said under 10€, not over.
Cool. Thanks all!
