We’d like to inform you that Startopia will be delisted from our catalog today, May 27th, 5pm UTC.

For everyone who purchased it prior to delisting, the game will remain in their GOG library.
I have the theory that sticky threads are mostly ignored since few people expect any news to be "stickied". Either that's what happening with this one, or nobody cares about Startopia.
Good thing I already have it. Nice game though I am struggling with advancing in it. Sad to see it go. Cannot understand why unless the rights have changed hands.

Interesting and no idea why that possibility did not strike me. Thank you for the link!

So in totally new hands too.

If Kalypso is publishing the new one, should be pretty good news for a return though, since they have plenty of games here, right? May be a return as just a bonus for the new one though, in Beamdog fashion :/

I don't know about anyone else but it's taken me some getting used to, to look up at the stickys.
This sucks...

BTW, stickies are the best way to hide something on this forum >.>
last time people complaint that a delisting thread scrolled off the page and was invisible because it was not stickied...

That was not me. :P And clearly somebody has found those stickies, so they're not completely invisible. Although I have only discovered them after I've seen the threads on Polish subforum...
Wow, even checking daily, I still missed this. Appreciate the notice. Thankfully the collector in me nabbed this a while back. sigh.

It was though.

It seems it was de-sticked an error or something else?
Thanks for the early heads up.

A few people finding the Stickies doesn't change the fact that the Stickying of de-listing threads is still a very bad idea anyway.

For every one person who saw the Sticky, there are probably at least 100 more who will never see it, because they have been acclimated automatically to ignore all Sticky threads, since either the stuff in them only has old information that has already been seen by them years ago, or else the Sticky threads contain unimportant & irrelevant stuff which never should have been Stickied in the first place.

So best thing for the customers is for GOG to revert back to their previous policy of not Stickying de-listing threads.
