There's something which I've been wondering about or some time now.

With the 50th Anniversary of Star Trek around the corner, are there any possible re-releases of Star Trek games for this occasion?
Many possibilities, nothing concrete.
Not holding by breath, but I'd certainly welcome some releases :)
I WANT ALL THE TREK GAMES! BRING THEM HERE! MOAR TREK GAMES! ALL TEH GAMES! MURDERERS! ASSASSINS!

No! Don't run! I won't kill you! It's *they* who do the killing! Don't run! I won't kill you!
I haven't..........heard.......anything.

The series is only now entering production, and the captain is not going to be klingon - it's set (shortly) before TOS, so no Klingons in Starfleet.
ahh ok my mistake that theme sounded like they merged the battle theme for them into starfleet theme lol

i was like omg they didnt,,, had me scared .

also that new ship and color is also a kinda throwback to their battle cruiser so was like omg noooo :)

The thought that the 25th Anniversary video game I played in my childhood is nearing its 25th anniversary is making me feel so depressingly old.

Then again, how would someone like the Shat feel about something like that. The guy already looked older than Methuselah when he did Star Trek VI and he's still alive and kicking.

It's actually taken from old concept art by Ralph McQuarrie (of Star Wars fame) for a Trek movie that never got made.

Also, we have a thread going to follow news about the future Trek movies, series and what-have-you, there some details about Discovery linked throughout.

I'm optimistic that we may at least see re-releases of Interplay's Star Trek games. But I'd love to see the ones by Microprose, Activision, Simon & Schuster Interactive and Bethesda on GoG as well.
Re-releases of Armada and Armada II would be amazing. Some of the only trek games that were any good in my opinion.....
Who knows, maybe GoG can make a deal of re-releasing Activision's Star Trek games despite the unclear legal situation regarding these.
Well for now I recommend picking up Sins of Solar Empire Rebellion Ultimate Edition while it's on sale and then getting the Star Trek Armada 3 mod which is very very well done.

And if anyone still has a Armada 2 on disc... check out FleetOps which is spectacular and updates it for today's hardware.

I would love to get my hands on the original games, but because they are so old they dont sell them new anymore, only used and even then they are bloody expensive. This is why we either need re-releases here on gog, or HD remakes if at all possible.
