This should be interesting.

Good. Let'shope that Marvel and Sony combined can make better Spidey movies than Sony did by themselves.

Better be after the travesty that was Amazing Spiderman 2. Spoony described the whole movie perfectly in his 2 hour Vlog:

Its still gonna be hard to top Sam Raimi's Spiderman 1 and 2.

Unless of course you did not like same raimi's films either :P

Those were ok. The whole thing started going off the rails with Spider-Man 3, though. The first ASM was ok, too, I thought, but then they lost control when Sony tried to make their own shared universe without thinking it through first. That's why ASM 2 was such a mess. >_>

Spiderman 3 would have been so much better if they eliminated Sandman from the Story, split it in 2 parts, and focus on Hobgoblin and Venom.

That's three reboots in the past 20 years. XD I love Spider-Man but this is getting a little silly.

Lets hope they don't fuck it up. People put too much blind faith in disney. Have people forgotten the latter 2 Iron Man movies? (Boring) I don't care for Thor.

Hmm, Sandman was ok, I thought, but the ret-con that turned him into Uncle Ben's killer was bleh! Remove that and find another way to connect him to Peter and voila. I would have thrown out Venom, tbh, because he was wasted completey. Venom deserves either his own movie or a story in which he is Spidey's only adversary.

The good news is that Marvel isn't gonna do another origin story for Spidey, at least. That's a relief, and besides, pretty much everybody knows that already. Nerd gets bitten by spider, gets powers, loses Uncle Ben. There you go.

Looks like they're gonna introduce Spidey in the "Civil War" movie. Down the line, he's probably gonna be a major player in the Infinity War.

Which is why I prefer the movie in 2 parts and without Sandman. Infact they already have the plot, they just need to do it better. Sam already thought exactly as I did how the Harry and Venom story should have played out:

That's good. I love the origin story but like you said, everyone knows it. IMO super hero movies are usually better with installment #2 because you've gotten past how and why and into an actual story. I submit to you Superman 2, X-2, and Spider-Man 2. All WAAAAAY better than #1.

And with regards to Spider-Man 3, Raimi said himself he wanted to do Venom in two or three movies but the producers said no way. Their reasoning was that people don't go to 'summer blockbusters' for what they deemed would be an unfinished product. Sam knew it wouldn't work in one movie but his hands were tied.

I find 90% of superhero movies drab and cliched. I thought the Captain America movie would have been good, but when I eventually saw it on TV... pffft. Boring. The Thor movie was pretty ok, but cliched.

I presume one should have been a big fan of the superhero cartoons to really appreciate these?

The only superhero I care for is Robocop.

I grew up with DC's Animated Universe and it was awesome. Batman, Superman, Batman Beyond, and Justice League+Unlimated were the best animated series of super heroes for all time.
I hate spider man. He reminds me a lot on all the silly characters you get in DC. He doesn't have the interesting back story that a lot of other characters have. So corny.

What about with great power comes great responsiblilty :(

Even though I think that applies much more properly with Superman. Because really Spider powers are great powers compared to Superman?
