Crosmando: If you've been following, you'd know they haven't yet chosen what type of combat system Torment will have.

Goddamn noobs.
They're definitely more inclined to a classic Infinity Engine/real-time pause kind of combat, from what they have been posting. Yes, the type of combat system isn't yet defined, but there doesn't seem to be much interest in neither a true hack-n-slash nor a true turn-based combat, which leaves us with active pause, or whatever you want to call it.

And you shouldn't get so aggravated as to start calling someone you don't know in the slightest a noob. I wasn't being rude to anyone, all I was doing was passing along the information that comes my way.

You stated as a fact that the game is going to use a RTwP system, which isn't true. In fact the Devs have stated that they have no inclination to either a RTwP or Turn-based system:

Crosmando: Don't listen to the fags, GOG forums are full of noobs who mostly play Call of Duty and Mass Effect in their spare time.
I'm playing ME full time =)

Hehe, I'd wish, but I just wanted it to contrast your "spare time" :P

Just wanted to convey that I think ME is a great game and putting it on a level with Call of Duty ain't nice of you (haven't negged you thoug :D).

Hmmm, well perhaps ME1 had some "RPG elements", but 2 and 3 are pure shooters.

Update! Meet Karel Antonin - the author of Space Shock theme music!

Update #3 · Aug 1, 2013 · comment
Hi backers and fans!

Many people who have supported us are interested in the music from the pitch video and previous Space Shock videos shown on Steam. We would like to introduce the music composer Karel Antonin.

Karel has composed the music tracks for more than fifty projects, including short films, drama series, commercials and video games of various genres. In 2009 was Karel awarded for “The Best Score” at Game Developers Session and in 2011 Karel was awarded for “The best Score” at Underground Cinema Awards in Ireland.

We are very pleased by Karel's decision to compose the soundtrack for Space Shock so the backers will be rewarded with very exciting digital soundtrack.

More from Karel's work here: http://www.karelantonin.com/

Update! The Soldier Class!

Update #4 · Aug 2, 2013 · comment
Hi backers and fans!

Space Shock is an RPG and a dungeon crawler. As in many dungeon crawling games the player will lead a group of four of the game’s heroes with their unique classes and specializations. Would you like to see the enemies dying in the bulletstorm? Would you like to decimate the hordes with the spells (PSI Powers)? Do you like to heal your tanks or do you prefer to have the power of the technology on your side? Choose wisely from five* unique classes to build your group and play in your preferred play style.

Classes

While most of the dungeon crawlers offer three classes in Space Shock there are five* unique classes to choose from. And that's not all, there are three additional specializations for every single class. The specialization system is very similar to the systems you can see in many MMORPG games. The players will spend earned talent points in three talent trees for every class.

PSI Powers

What would be an RPG game without spells? A lot of RPG fans do like playing with the spell-casters in their group. In Space Shock these “Spells” are called PSI Powers. All classes have their own PSI Powers to define the role of the member in the group. All powers can be found in the “spellbook” and a player is able to Drag-and-Drop them onto Action bar and then use keybinds (1,2,3, etc) to use them. There are five PSI Powers shared for all class specializations (obtained through character level up) and additional three can be unlocked via talents.

The End of Space Shock?

Update #11 · Aug 19, 2013 · 9 comments
** Well this got cancelled :( **

To all Space pirates!

Only three days left to reach the end of our Kickstarter campaign and we have decided to cancel the campaign. We would like to thank every one of you who have pledged or helped spreading the word. All those have backed the project from unknown studio and believed in us game deserve our respect for their courage and their support has been greatly appreciated. We worked hard on the game prototype we have shown, we've contacted press, we've listened to backers and we've tried to get the word out as much as we could.
With no excuses it looks like we have failed with PR. We have not been able to sell our project very well and attract more backers and supporters.

The future of Space Shock

Unfortunately the project won't be funded here and this will slow development down. Maybe we will need to find new jobs, me included, because we need to pay the bills and our children need to eat. Maybe not, who knows.
At this time the team is working on playable build and we will try to find an alternative way to have the project funded so we will be able to work on Space Shock daily.

We still have our Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/SpaceShockGame?ref=hl

We hope this is not over but next time we meet it won't be on Kickstarter's ground.

Thanks again for your support and thanks for believing in us.

Roman
