Been playing Starcraft 1 and 2 and Warcraft 3 back to back and man Blizzard has this simple, but deep RTS gameplay that no other games I know replicate it.

Which is all the more reason I like to play Wacraft 1 and 2.

Especially 1 judging by how simple it looks and plays.
Probably not, but there's been rumours circulating forever that Blizzard is optimising them for release on Battle.net.
Maybe this year's Blzzcon will have the announcement...

They'll have another one with the movie next year.

That would be a great opportunity to release Warcraft 4 too, if anyone bothered to make it that is. Asshats.

They said that after Legacy of the Void is released that mabye "Mabye" they might finally do something with "Warcraft"

I don't think you can get Warcraft 1 anymore, outside of finding an old physical copy on eBay, but doesn't Blizzard still sell the WarCraft II Battle.net Edition on Battle.net?

Release a story-driven classical RTS with a compelling, quality-written and designed single-player campaign? Why on earth would Blizzard do that? That would take resources, effort and time...why go to all of that trouble when there's all of that sweet, sweet money from all of those WoW/HearthStone/HotS players...

If they did, they'd probably release every campaign mission as a separate, full price game.
Nope. No legal digital version exists. You'll either have to find old retail copies of the games or pirate them. Same case with Diablo 1 and its expansion, Hellfire.

really hope they change their mind someday and do a proper digital rerelease - wouldn't mind paying a lot for it well bc of nostalgia bonus ^^

well obviously I would prefer it cheap ;) or even as a free goodie coming with a possible WC4 - but well if neither cheap nor goodie happens i still somehow would want it. Not sure i want a WC4 though seeing the general direction Blizzard is taking these days with casualstone and overwatch and well was already disappointed with D3 and SC2 as well...
Only way I know of is to buy the original physical copies.

IIRC they were announced on 2013's BlizzCon, but there was no news after that.

These are both abandonware they are not maintained anymore by blizzard you can find both games on en.war2.ru for free, updated and patched so that they work on your modern computers :-)

None of those games are "abandonware". They have been made available free by blizzard on their store, however they still hold full rights to those titles. The site you link provides a re-implementation of the engine via a client nothing more, and blizzard would have them hanging outside their head office if it was any difference.
