second one to start acting like a total douche bag over me asking why they don't have gog as an option for their game
I wont say the name of this guy but my god are all these indie devs jerks or something?

even seen this on twitter like people asking why they don't have their games on any other platform they go on rage mode.

oh and little news bit vanguard princess dev told me he trying to get his game on here so fighting fans who are into anime fighters might be happy to hear this.

I guess some people just hate making money.
You are most likely to find people unable to act in a reasonable manner among people working :
1) solitarily
2) closely to the internet
3) in everything artsy

I really think it's situational.

Yes.

Yes, all indie devs are jerks.

You'd be surprised how many people just enjoy making games and want to make some money back, yet don't enjoy the hassle of increased maintenance.

I wonder if some of them did try to get on GOG but were turned down and just ended up not taking it very well. Also, I have seen some people asking devs on Twitter or forums about a GOG release that weren't exactly acting on their best behavior themselves (like threatening to pirate games or something). That kind of behavior doesn't exactly help the DRM-free cause either. =\

Good to hear the news regarding Vanguard Princess, though. :)

yeah you might be right but man I respect these guys for making games that are more fun than most triple A shit on the market but when A fan gets shat on from the dev they like is harsh. I guess they are just on alert cause of people like you said :/

Oh and YEAH! vanguard princess I hope to god he gets his game here, Like he told me he is trying to get it here and hopes gog will accept it.

While I'm sure this true, doesn't GOG pretty much handle the Maintenance of their games?

They are probably hoping the majority of their sales are on Steam...

Although on steam once it's off the front page, sales die down unless it's on heavy discount or a promo... (And with shovelware getting published 5-per-day or something, that seems like a bad way to get the coverage you need)

Here i'm sure it would receive more love (in relative comparison, not raw numbers), especially when on sale...

I'm not sure who packs the GOG installers, but I do know that a dev has to create separate patches for Steam and for GOG version to keep it up to date on both services - thus the delay GOG gets on patches, coupled with the fact that GOG also tests them before putting them out. Some devs just don't think that the additional hassle is worth like 5% of market share.

So, does this mean Indie/Steam bubble has burst & some devs are in the anger stage?
GOG has turned down a lot of these indie guys... I was talking with the guy who created ultiionus: a tale of petty revenge on desura and said to me he sent his copy to put on here and GOG refused his game saying it was way too short.... saying it needs to be 4 or more hours long for whatever reason. and I know for FACT that I have games on my list that only last 1 hour or so and seems pretty odd to me.

I seen a few posts of indie devs getting pretty upset at GOG due to refusing the game they made for a stupid reason and they go rage mode on twitter and facebook bashing DRM Free

... aaaand that's what you get for associating a commercial service with an ideology. Commercial decisions will always take precedence, regardless of whether or not the ideology might be harmed.
Before I read your post, I thought "I hope he kicked him in the nuts." Then I read your post.
