I just want to add something in terms of the "love it or hate it" part. I do neither. Unfortunately that is a problem with everything, i.e. its either the best thing or worse thing that has ever happened. What I was trying to get across is that in a direct comparison with those games which it is trying to compete it is a failure.
"Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world" - we thus need to compare this with the real players in this arena, and as shown in various videos this fails consistently and repeateable.

"You can customize your character's cyberware, skillset and playstyle" - no you can't, you can visually do it via UI, however it makes no difference to how you play, and as mentioned stealth is broken.

"and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you" - it may be a vast area, but it is void of anything which makes it feel alive, or that you have any shaping of anything.

" that sets new standards in terms of visuals, complexity and depth" - completely false, it is way behind even open world simulations from several iterations back, visuals may be nice if you have a 3080ti however they are way off what GTA5 offers, there are comparisons out there.

These are just some of the bits I pulled out of the first few paragraphs to illustrate a point. For my money, if I want to play an "open-world, action-adventure story" I will play one of the real AAA players in that domain. If I want to play borderlands I will play that. There is no reason to play this currently (unlikely to be at any point due to the move to the microtransactions/online only). Frankly if you want to enjoy it then fine, but it is not a good game by any measure. Metacritic is a clear example of how things have become partisan in everything, and how the industry itself is corrupt to the core.
