(I don't care if I raise hell with this thread, I just want to say what I feel and yeah I already broke the cardinal rule of complaining about rep but at this point I don't care about the rep its the actions behind it that upsets)

So my perticular post in the GOG Community Gifting Thread got low rated when I humbly asked for any generous person to gift me the game Revenant:

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_gog_community_gifting_thread/post17856

Now I assume the reason as to why people low rated me is because I made an earlier post awhile ago, but that post was almost a month ago:

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/the_gog_community_gifting_thread/page882

Just 8 days short of a month and I have not use the thread since knowing that flooding the thread with my posts is not tolerated , so what gives I am calling out the people who low rated me to explain to me what did I do wrong because I do not want to be seen as some petty begger flooding the thread my posts.

What rules have I broken and wish to properly learn?

ZFR: Yes.
And thus this thread is ruined because someone made a snarky post only saying, "Yes"

OK I already anticipate where this thread is going after that post so go ahead :P

I think that thread was made so that people could make a wish.
But some started to take advantage of others generosity and that's when people got confused between greedy and needy.
And since we can't beat shit out of them we downvote.
Sorry on behalf of whole community if you became collateral damage.

I feel people has long term memory because years ago I accidently made 1 post in a page directly after I made another post in the previous page (and that was an accident because I forgot that I made a post in the previous page)

There are no rules. Going to the gifting threads bears the risk of getting downvoted. Regardless if that is fair or not, that is just how it is. You either need to learn to live with it or stop posting there.
First rule of gog community gifting thread is you don't talk about gog community gifting thread.
Second rule of gog community gifting thread is you don't talk about gog community gifting thread.

Now you see what rule you broke. :P

I don't care about the gifting thread, but judging by the two downrated posts, they were downrated because the posters DIDN'T ask humbly. You and l0rdtr3k straight up told people that if they don't pony up the games, they are greedy cockmongling bastards. I suspect it's a language issue.

I am surprised you did not make that your first post here.

EDIT what do you mean I have not asked humbly in the post?

I said "I would like to have Revenant if anyone is generous"

I did not say, "You guys better fucking give me Revenant, I want it and I want it now I deserve it :P"

If my post was not humble and just straight a begging undeservedly, how would you define a humble request?

How is it written?

Elmofongo: But I have been going through this for the last 2 years now and I have not complained like l0rdtr3k by making a complaint thread in the forums until now.
Fuck! I don't care about the complaint threads or giveaway politics as long as this stuff is filtered. This thread is okay by me cos it has "gift" in the title. I only saw it through galaxy which doesn't have a filter.

The issue as I see it is that, woop woop language police, this:
I would like to have Revenant if anyone is generous.
means "generous people need to buy me a game asap to prove their generosity or go die in a fire". So does this:
I would really like to have and play Morrowind if anybody's generous enough to gift it to me.
Regardless of the context of forum politics or the poster's identity or personality or whatever, the words literally mean this. Now *I* am generous enough to assume you didn't really mean to cockslap the gifters but simply critically failed your etiquette roll.

Now here is where I stand. I know its the gifters decision to gift to whomever they choose, if they gift to someone other then me in the same thread page then fine thats their desicion.

I feel the same when I did not win in a giveaway thats not decided by random.org.

I have never made any post with the mindset of bashing any gifters if they did not gift to me.
imo, you were downrated because you were ready to fork over 50€/50$ from your own funds for ONE game on a drmed platform while on the same time you were begging the community to gift you five-to-ten times cheaper games (but in many cases better quality games) ($5-$10) on a drmfree platform:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/should_i_get_dragon_age_inquisition_now_or_wait_for_all_future_dlc_to_release/post1 (january 2015)

But that is not the case now because now I am legitimatelly broke.

Besides I decided against Dragon Age 3 because I realized that I HAVE to play Dragon Age 2 to even have a more consistant plot for the playthrough a Inquisition. And DA 2 does not have a GOTY version and I still hate DA 2 to this day.
