Elvin: That is actually empty but there is the bug check code 0x00000116
it is empty on all 4 blue screens I have ever had

IronArcturus: That's odd. All BSODs should have some kind of identification. What version of Windows are you running?
7 ultimate 64 bit

Elvin: 7 ultimate 64 bit
The program should be compatible with Win7. Are you sure you're encountering BSODs and not some other kind of error?

Update: I think I found your Bug Check String for the BSOD. It's STOP 0x00000116: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR

According to this site: http://www.carrona.org/bsodindx.html#0x00000116
It looks like it's a video driver problem. Have you tried updating them?

I at least think it is a BSOD causes my pc to reset with fans being loud for a few seconds, I do not think that I have it set up to actually show the BSOD and just reset instantly.

I will go to sleep for now thank you for all your help guys I will try some more tomorrow to see if I can find a solution
Try upping your dram voltage. Solved bluescreens under load with all kinds of errorcodes for me. turns out low voltage ram is a total scam.
It really looks like a bad memory read. Bad as in 'defective'.
It shouldn't be ram related or you would have this issues on every game or just watching movies (you can do an easy test by trying to launch numerous applications until you are sure your pc is swapping).
My best guess (without much pre-research mind you) would be that some of the GDDR chips on your GPU are toast. But you having the problem on dx10 games only is making me doubt.
If you have another GPU nearby you might want to try to swap and check.

Do you have civ5 ? because you can try launching the game in dx9 OR with a higher version if I recall. Might be usefull. (edit : seems like you did that with red faction)

Point is, in my experience, consistent BSOD are hardware issues. But as I don't have your thing under my eyes I might be (hopefully) completely wrong ;-) .

Edit 2 : don't forget that sometimes it's just not perfectly plugged or even just a tiny piece of dust. To be on the safe side, unplug your video card, blow a little, plug back in.

No. Do it manually.
Uninstall your current driver, download newest and install it.

Well I do not have another GPU laying around apart from the onboard one, but yes it does not make sense to me why it works fine on 99% of everything then there is a handful of things where it causes problems.

I forced Red Faction to a lower directX due to not being able to go into full screen but after I did that the game bluescreened after the beginning cutscene

in Van Helsing I was just tinkering with the options for a few minutes when it happened

and in devil may cry 4 I got to the press start screen after I pressed start the bluescreen happened

and it once happened in Skyrim too but I think that was a one time thing as the game works fine otherwise after 60 hours of game time
Those are the 4 times it has happened since I built this pc it is about nearly a year old everything else works flawlessly no issues ever practically any game I throw at it works without issue apart from a handful I have encountered so far, maybe my GPU just doesn't like those games

Ok, if it happens whatever the DX you are using, I fear this is some form of 'memory access violation' which could be caused by a number of things, but if you successfully installed a recent driver (not a beta or developper one) my take would be that you have hardware issues.

You could try to check what your system detects with GPU-Z (and sees that it matches the specs)
Also, maybe on their forums (at techpowerup) you could find people having the same issues.

Bottom line, if you re-installed everything, tried to use different setups but have consistent errors and still have warranty, you probably should ask for a replacement (for the same or different one, depends on customers experience)

I will try to do all the re-installing later today if that doesn't help then I will contact Nvidia about it see what they say.

Thanks for your help will post what happens once I further progress into the issue
