You keep releasing all these yucky games and can't get an old game like Skyrim? Give us a forecast, (year). Yeah, I know 2051.
Is it that good?

I found Oblivion to be kind of a bummer, compared to Morrowind.
Skyrim is a good game. Better than Oblivion by a long shot. Not as good as Morrowind IMHO. But the engine is MUCH better and the game plays far smoother than previous installments.

Skyrim sucks, move on.

Wouldn't mind trying Skywind or whatever the mod is called.

Eh, I like several of the games GOG released recently, albeit not all. Of course, it goes without saying that it helps to not have one's nostalgia goggles on too tight.

And yeah, Skyrim would be good here, but if one has Xbox 360/One it works just fine as well.

(None of this is meant to be an insult on those who mainly like older games)
Bethesda are waiting till Galaxy gets ported to fridges, washing machines and bluetooth thermostats, those being the only platforms where Skyrim hasn't been released yet. Gotta maximize your customer base...

I dont think thats even remotely finished yet. Though it does look like Skyblivion may see a release soon (unless ive utterly missed anything).

Shucks, I was really looking forward to Skywind.
Bound to get here if GOG ever releases a piece of hardware

Actually it is the same engine with the same limitations and the same bugs.
Bugs and limitations you will find from Oblivion up to Fallout 4.

It is like older US cars. Slap a new autobody onto an old chassies and combine it with an even older engine.
You got a "new" and shiny car.
I would add that Skyrim is even better than Arena, can't say for sure about Daggerfall.

The game plays better. I realize they've been running the same base engine since Morrowind but they have been tweaking it, and frankly, Skyrim still performs better than Oblivion. I would like to see them move to a new engine, as it sounded like TES 6 was also going to be built in Gamebryo!

Yes, but the key difference with both(cars and software engines) is how the devs utilize it and work around/with it's downsides that determines how good it can shine(or how bad it can look/perform if they fail).

The problem with Skyrim not being here is as much with Bethesda as it is GOG, ie, they don't want to release old games here at old game prices all the time they can milk it to death with endless re-releases on Steam designed to constantly maintain a minimum $30 price for +20 years : Skyrim (2011) -> Skyrim Legendary Edition (2013) -> Skyrim Special Edition (2016) -> Skyrim Switch Port (2017) -> Skyrim VR (2018), etc. It's a running joke at this point.
