Does anyone use Skrill as payment method?
Do you also need to spend $10 in order to use Skrill to checkout
Like you do for PayPal, wallet, credit card and debit card to gift someone?

Any pros and cons for Skrill? I've never used it nor heard of it.
It looks like a virtual CC. What countries can you make use of it? I don't even see Canada listed.
Is it possible for people to use it to make foreign purchases?
Like making a USA CC so Canadians don't need to pay for foreign currency conversion fees.

You do not need to spend $10 to use PayPal here. At least, I don't. I just made a transaction of $7.99. I've made several over the years of $3.99 or less as well. And yes, I do mean transactions, not games purchased as part of a larger purchase.

Maybe it is a new requirement. I'll copy and paste the error message
Not only do you need to spend $10 on your own account but you need to wait 3 months before you can gift others

Purchasing gifts via Wallet, credit/debit card, and PayPal is not yet enabled on this account. These security
        measures are automatically lifted three months after completing purchases worth $10 / €7.99 / £7.99 / A$12.99 /
        599 RUB / 63 DKK / 79 NOK / 81 SEK / 35.99 PLN / C$12.99 / 9.99 CHF / R$30.99 in total. Please keep in mind

Yeah, that seems to be correct.

OH, I thought you meant a $10 minimum purchase. What's terrible about this is if people don't have another way to buy. Why would they restrict PayPal (or any payment source) by requiring a $10 purchase from another source?

EDIT: Mis read again, this is just for purchasing gifts.

Yes, we need a cumulative spending of $10 before we can gift.
So if we bought a few classics and didn't make it past the $10 threshold during our lifetime of being on GOG
We cannot gift to anyone on here, which is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion
This becomes a nuisance for innate gifters who enjoy gifting instead of buying.

All the payment methods are greyed out for me. I don't know if Skrill is allowed because I don't have an account
Never heard of it.
The point of this post was to confirm if Skrill was accepted despite not making $10 cumulative spending threshold
And to learn what the heck is Skrill.

Skrill is owned by PaySafe, and appears to be their version of a digital wallet e.g. PayPal. The support article doesn't say what options are restricted, but if Skrill is grayed out I would assume it's restricted.

What is actually PaySafeCard btw? I remember seeing this offered elsewhere.

Is it more secure and something we should use instead of CC on sites we aren't sure about?

It's essentially just a prepaid card. You pay in advance at the retailer you purchase from, and are given a 16 digit code that serves as a unique identifier. You then enter the16 digit code at checkout, and the purchase amount gets taken out of the prepaid balance.

Part of the appeal of credit cards is that the company issuing the card has your back if something goes wrong. After all, it's their money that is being spent, not yours. A paysafe card might be better if you don't have a credit card, or are worried about your card details getting stolen, but I would argue that if you don't trust the seller to begin with it's better to just not do business with them.

thanks for explaining to me. So Skrill is equivalent to Paypal; Paysafecard is equivalent to prepaid Visa/MC;
How is the signup process? is it very difficult to?
Have you used skrill or paysafecard? What were the pros and cons from your experience?

I dislike the requirements myself. Not being able to gift yet is a pain.
