And refuses to switch back to English. What gives?
I suppose it's not VPN related.
It's back to normal now.

Germany invades Sweden, tomorrow at 12:30 EST, on FS1.

Sweden shouldn't stand a chance, but Germany has been really underachieving in the tournament so far, so an upset could be brewing.

le_chevalier: Tour de France 1940?
In an ironic twist, I recently saw a show about how German soldiers during WW 2 were all given meth/speed. The Tour de France is of course notorious for riders being loaded on drugs; at least insofar as American cyclist are concerned.

They're just geoIP glitches which are not uncommon on GOG. I frequently get either German or Russian until I log in.
Faulty geolocation. When this happens, you can check by looking up Star Wars: Dark Forces. If it doesn't show up, you got switched to the german store.

It usually sorts itself out after a while but it is indeed annoying.

Uhh what do they use for geolocation if it's so bad?

I've been connecting through the same IP address and same ISP for years and yet I'm sometimes transported out of country by GOG..

To tell your country to determine which store you should be directed to. So if it sometimes wrongly detects your location, you can get switched to an incorrect store (usually german).

Happened to me twice already in the past. Language changed to german, currency to Euro and games banned in Germany unavailable in the store.
