My vote goes to the classic Nintendo title, Super Metroid.

I've never been good at selecting a specific number of favorite, greatest, etc. games/anything, so I won't name anything.
However, I'll let you know about this thread. You may want to poop in there as well and make a list of 10 :-). If you have that many "faves", that is.

I know many a people have trouble selecing TEN games, let alone ONE :-D.

To me, Duke Nukem is the greatest shooter...
Mount and Blade is the best RPG/Action.
Lufia series is the best RPG...
Metroid is the best shooter...
Soldiers: Heroes of WW2 is the best strategy...
and I like a little of everything else....

"Greatest" in what way? Or are you asking us for our personal favorite? In that case, my favorite would be Deus Ex.

The term "greatest" can be left up to the interpretation of the poster. I personally feel that greatest means the one game that comes to mind when someone says "video games". As I said before, Super Metroid!

Lufia 2 is better then the 1st... also the Lufia 2 remake is coming to the Nintendo DS :)
For me the greatest game i still play to this day is Diablo 2 no contest for ARPG \\
FPS its gotta be Duke 3D \\
RTS goes to ROME total war
and Adventure is Sanitarium
For pure RPG, thats NWN had a crapload of fun playing that...
