Now you can see how the royal saga began. Shovel Knight: King of Cards tells us the prequel story of King Knight, as he travels through his realms in search of an adventure. Apart from new platform challenges, the game introduces a card game called Joustus. It enables the player to engage in multiple card battles and collect his own deck as the game progresses.

King of Cards is a standalone adventure that is also included in Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove. Its owners will receive King of Cards as a FREE update to their game.
Wow, the price of Treasure Trove has more than doubled. The regional price is almost $15 above of the US price now. That's a 37% surcharge and a 100% blacklist for greediness!
Lovely free gift! Thanks GOG and Yacht Club Games!

M3troid: Thanks for the freebie, Yacht Club Games. :)

Still, i would like to see the OST here on GOG too.
For your information, all Jake Kaufman's soundtracks (Shovel Knight series, Shantae...) are available both in MP3 and FLAC at "name your price" on his official Bandcamp page : https://virt.bandcamp.com/music

You're welcome. :)
Thank you for the gift

Why is Plague of Shadows not available standalone like all the other parts?
I hope that now Yacht Club can focus on implementing the Galaxy achievements in the main game and all the spin-offs, the games would benefit a lot.

Considering the game has plenty of in-game feats/achievements, I don't see what benefit external achievements would have at all. I would rather they wouldn't waste their time on something so unnecessary and pointless.

Yeah, they've already done the correct thing of implementing the achievements in game, there's no pressing need to tie them to an online profile. If it was one of those games that has achievements only viewable in the client then it would be slightly different.

+1

All versions have external achievements support so I don't understand why GOG should not have them.

It is a question of equality.

There are no external achievements on the Switch version.

Nintendo does not have an achievement system.

That doesn't make me wrong. My point was that you're getting the same experience as a Switch owner. With the achievements implemented within the game you're not missing anything.

Yes, but you know what? We are talking about the PC version, so my opinion about that is quite simple.

If Steam has achievements GOG should also have them.
