Potzato: That's an idea I could get behind.
Can we please have the possibility to buy the album 'Bone to pick' by the Gone Jackals .... and get the related game as a bonus please ?

Sabin_Stargem: Looks like that is the basis for Full Throttle's soundtrack. Added to the list.
Indeed ;-)

Barry_Woodward: If "Bone To Pick" is released here, then the question becomes whether or not to stock their other albums, "Out And About With The Gone Jackals" and "Blue Pyramid" as well as "Roadhouse Manifesto", "Mobile" and "Greasefire" by The Gone Jackals v2.0 (founded by original members Keith Karloff & Rudy D. Maynard) known as The Bonedrivers.
Now I imagine you as a metal groupie Barry :-)
Thanks for the complementary information. I'll vote that up.

Further on the subject, I think music closely tied to games / shows / movies / {insert piece of art} is way more interesting than plain albums, creatively speaking. The notion of 'composition' has a greater role : I love Fallout's music for instance, but taken out of context and story, it is isn't really musically mesmerizing.
The real question is, should GOG start selling underwear?

Yes or some sexy panties with a No-DRM logo.

No, but the real question is, should GOG start selling their merchandise?

Only if they can bring quality stuff, if it will be like the movie section, filling with rubbish, I see no point to it.

hmmm well if they sold entire collections $10 per, i would probably not be against it. $10 for everything Green bay ever released... $10 for all of Enya... etc etc. Having every single song of every single album to buy individually would be a pain, but buying whole collections (maybe albums, but preferably collections) would make it worth it.

Although to be honest, there's probably so much music in the mod archive that you could play every song back to back when you are born and die of old age... Multiple songs i've downloaded and listened to that were 30+ minutes and took a meg or less, this was back in 1998.
Nope :) (excluding game soundtracks, those would be welcome)
I'm fine with GOG starting selling (DRM-free) music, but not very keenly because:

- Apparently other proper music stores are already selling DRM-free music, so maybe there isn't a big need for yet another such store.

- Frankly, I haven't bought music for a long time. Maybe some would catch my attention if I saw them on GOG though, as I don't visit those other music stores to see their ads.

Considering GOG is still releasing lots of old classic games and even using more resources on them than before (like being a publisher themselves for some old classics, if they are unable to re-release them otherwise; see the SSI games), I feel the complaints of GOG spreading itself thin are useless. Selling newer (indie) games and movies didn't apparently stop GOG from selling old classics too, so...
